Machaan Wilderness Lodge is located in South Coorg, with an easy access to Rajiv Gandhi National Park, home to tigers, bison & elephants to name a few. An ideal road trip from Bangalore, Machaan Wilderness Lodge is easily reachable by road in approximately 90 mins time from Mysore. The last leg of the drive includes a road that traverses through the jungle for about 40kms. The Rooms and Cabins are set amidst a coffee estate where, one can wake up to the early morning calls of birds and a beautiful view of the estate on the verandah attached to each room. Surrounded with a plethora of different flora and fauna true to its region, guests are encouraged to spend all their time outdoors . Rooms are modern with attached washrooms that can accommodate 3 people comfortably. The overall look and feel of the property is rustic and may not be suitable for elderly people due to the steep gradients in the terrain. We offer wildlife safari into the National Park everyday.

We had a great 3 day experience at Machaan Nagarhole. The ambiance and hospitality is top notch, thanks to the extremely dedicated crew. The Safaris in the morning and evening was blissful with amazing siting of birds and animals. A very special mention about the Naturalist Mr Phanish who took very good care and made us feel at home. Much respect for his passion for wildlife and conservation and inflicting the same in us by sharing his vast knowledge and experiences. Would highly recommend Machaan Nagarhole to all wildlife and nature enthusiasts.

"Machaan" a very pleasant place to hang out for a families. Fat away from the city, right Middle in the forest, just 15 mts away from the main gates of Tiger sarafi. Highlights: 1. Amazing property with well maintained Cabins. 2. Extremely supportive staff & great hospitality 3. Walking early morning for "Bird watch" with guidance of Mr. Panish ( Naturalist ) which we should not miss. it's very good experience and very energitic. 4. Tasty Non veg food. ( although varieties are less ) 5. Very very closed to tiger safari (5 Kms), Irupu falls (15Kms), Thirunelli temple (35Kms) To be improved: 1. This place is 1 km inside from the main road, we have to pass through the other private estates and the roads are pathetic. 2. Paid 7500/- per day ( 2 adults) - My personal feeling can be paid 4,000/- Note: Not suitable for bachelors those who want to have hard parties with music. as this is in middle of the jungle not advised to make noice, Very good for families.

Nestled in midst of greenery, we enjoyed our stay here, disconnected from WiFi and cell phone networks. Super friendly dogs near the parking area. But a tedious walk from parking to the rooms. Not recommended if you come with senior citizens. Food was simple and tasty. Drive through Nagerhole to reach the place was awesome.
