We initially planned for 5 of us to take a quick break before Schools / colleges starts full time. Then after speaking to Nitu, we decided to take Grand parents also. So we were totally 7 of us across 3 generations during Oct 2021. Although we are very used to homestays, it was another pleasant stay at 4th Mile Inn. Neat rooms, well maintained washrooms, Cosy varandah for small family party, we had lots of fun. As we are vegetarians, Nitu cooked great food for us for both B/fast and dinners and evening party snacks as well. Manju - man of house was equally a great host so if you are not looking for some hotel / resort treatment, go for such homestays. I personally started prefer to go for homestays than big resorts as you get the home feeling away from home in great locations within coffee / tea plantations. Overall a great break holiday and many thanks to our great host - Manju and Nitu for hosting us just like their family members.…
My husband and I stayed at 4th Mile Inn for 3 nights. The homestay is almost wholly managed (including serving the guests) by the couple themselves. Mamitha and Manju are ably assisted by their son Vrishin. The family is very friendly and down to earth. The rooms are comfortable and clean; the bed linen and quilts are also fresh. Please do carry your own towels and toiletries though as they only provide a small soap. Mamitha asks you beforehand for any food preferences. She personally cooks the food and it was simply delicious. Pandhi curry (pork), chicken curry, different types of puttus were a few of the things we relished during our stay. The property is right on the Virajpet Talakaveri road and is easy to find on Google maps. Since it's on the main road, we can hear vehicles till midnight and from early morning, but thankfully, no one was honking like in the cities :) As the homestay has quite a bit of greenery, we cannot see the road. The 4 room building next to the main house has been made out of recycled wood; you can hear the other occupants but the guests in the other rooms were considerate so we did not have an issue. We will definitely stay with them again if we are in that part of town.…
We stayed at 4th mile inn for a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Subaiyah was a gracious host and was really helpful, even prepared a delicious barbecue meal at our request. The property itself is immensely beautiful and set in a quaint coffee estate which is a bliss for anyone looking for a respite from the city bustle. The rooms were clean with a nice rustic touch and literally HUGE. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.
Warm family, good clean room, excellent "Coorgi" food both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The young son "Vrishin" has lot of knowledge of the rural life, the coffee plantation, the paddy field. Nature lovers will love this place
- House was super clean. - A beautiful friendly family. - Vrishin the boy volunteered to guide us while hiking - AMAZING meals. Best so far in India. Fresh ingredients from their plantation and amazing home cooked food. - Amazing tea and coffee fresh from the plantation - They took us on a nice walk around the plantation - One friend got sick and they took her to the doctor right away in their car. - peaceful and quiet place - We were able to enjoy our night around the bonfire without worrying about neighbors. HIGHLY recommended

We had a great time here. The owners were really nice and we spent some quality time along with a bonfire in the evening. Great hospitality and food. They have 2 pets dogs and a lovely cat. I would highly recommend this place.
Perfect place for people looking for a home away from home. Peaceful, green, close to nature, and homely. Must visit. The place does complete justice to its name. Highly recommend you to stay here if you are going to coorg.
