Excellent resort and we enjoyed a lot with beautiful plantation, insects chirping, Pool, Walking, sitting outside and watching cloudy hills. The pics provided in their website is not enough to describe the beauty of resort. We really enjoyed the stay and much recommended. We cancelled our sightseeing places just to explore the resort beauty and really enjoyed. WiFi is also good. Food is with limited options but quality and taste both are good. Staff is very cooperative and Thank you Magnolia team for making my trip more memorable.

😃Had a wonderful week-long holiday staying at Magnolia resort, the staff is so warm and caring, it was a perfect break in the lap of nature , natural beauty at its peak , the weather too had been great !!! Right from the director of the resort, Rajani ma’am to the manager Praveen alongwith the service staff Srilakshmi, Yuvraj were warm and considerate towards our needs and made it a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The nature walk in the estate conducted by Puneeth was interesting, he is very knowledgeable about the flora & fauna in the area! Thank you Team Magnolia 😃 Strongly recommend this resort !!!

Trip planned on short notice during the Good Friday weekend. Had a good relaxing time with family. Set amidst a 75 acre coffee and pepper plantation it offers the perfect place to experience Coorg without damaging it. The resort prides itself on growing its own produce for the kitchen. Also all dishes prepared in their Indian and Italian restaurant is prepared fresh. One should taste the Pizza here, fresh!! They just melt and are quite light. They doesn't give you those stale burps over the day like you get from those delivered in towns. Their North Indian kitchen is also good, quite light on the stomach and best part didn't make me repent for ordering it. The kitchen head Mr Deb from Orissa was very helpful and cheerful person. The Manager Mr Praveen prepared a special Guava Chilly Smoothie for us. This is must try if you are staying here. By the way, there are lot of Guavava, Sapota and Jack fruit trees here. Guava given to us by Praveen were the white outer skin with inner pink variety. They just melted away in your mouth and very soft skinned. One should also go for the Plantation walk in the morning with Mr Puneeth. He is good naturalist showed us some unique mango trees, cardamom and avocado trees. He amazed us with his ability to speak in 5 languages. We also learnt a lot about the Coorg weather and issues and yield related to coffee growing. Rooms are great and spacious! If you are looking for a quiet stay, enjoying nature with no hectic itinerary like rushing to safari or elephant camp this is a great place. They have a badminton, a small swimming pool and Billiards and Snooker table. And an impressive collection of books and novels. Few additions if the owner is reading this: A South Indian Chef to complement your kitchen staff. It will add an extra few pages to your kitchen menu. If Filter Coffee could be served from 6 AM it would be great !! Felt really awkward tearing open a Bru packet at 6 AM in the middle of Coffee plantation. Just this week during our Ugadi break, we did a quick getaway to Magnolia Resorts in Virajpet, Coorg. Though it was just a 2-nights/1 day getaway, it was so relaxing for myself, hubby and 2 kids(ages 15 and 10). The day started with a sumptuous breakfast, followed by a Coffee plantations walking tour with Puneet who shared so many interesting knowledge snippets, to a yum guava chillie refreshing drink by Praveen, followed by a game afternoon at the retreat center. Later in the evening we had a nice time at the basket ball court, a bit of biking (there is a pool too if you like m swimming) to then end with a yummy Italian dinner there. The small shop there has some authentic honey and local wines and handmade soaps and gift items which we have bought home to try. The stay was surely rejuvenating! Wi-Fi was good. Provides unique and traditionally architectured cottages floated amidst nature. Simply fantastic hospitality and stay. USPs - Damm peaceful property spreads in acres with only birds chirping around makes your stay incredibly good. - Full of nature: 100 acre of Coffee estates, 2 lakes, water fall and trek to jungle.. right inside your resort - Ample space for walk and cycling - Club, Pool, Indian and Italian Restaurant - Profesionally trained staff. Wonderful property with awesome scenic. Rooms are huge in size very clean. Service and good are wonderful. Manager Mr. Praveen is very helpful. Had an awesome time. Wish to visit again during winter time. Very close to nature. Morning alarm is bird’s chirping and good night with cricket’s jingles.

Called them. They days available. Sent me mail with account details. With one line at the bottom. Check with is before you send money. Called them and told them doing t test transaction. After doing it called them to check. The guy Praveen Saudi he will check and get back. Them stopped taking calls and cuts phone. After following up for 1.5 days, sends mark saying no accommodation. Online shows price increase

This guest called to reserve a room during during a peak weekend when we were almost full. With just one room available he was told to make a payment asap to block the room for him. He did not do so immediately and in that time the room was reserved by someone else through one of our OTA’s. It’s first come first served in all hospitality businesses.

Magnolia estate is located near Kerela border, towards the end of Coorg (if you are not coming from Kerela ;-)). Its well maintained coffee estate with big rooms/cottages, restaurant and lakes. Before I give further feedback I want to highlight the few fine prints I missed while booking assuming the bar facility and Wi-Fi in rooms will be provided if the resort is charging a premium, but that's not the case. TV also has Tatasky connection but only a few channels work, so if you want to watch TV you would probably have to pay additional charges. So confirm before booking if these things matter to you. We went there as a family of 4, and we overall had mixed experiences. Here is what worked well and later I'll tell you what didn't. What worked well: - Nice clean, serene estate with a lot of natural beauty and with enough social distancing. The walk in the estate and the lake was a real stress buster. - Big rooms so you can spend good time indoors also. Good for a big family with kids. - They arranged a small event for families and kids on new year which was really good and everyone enjoyed it a lot. Thanks a lot! Pravin was very friendly and managed the event well. - Staff was polite and smiling (Though not very skilled or committed I suspect) What didn't work well for us: - Room service was slow, but that's understandable since the estate is big and rooms were spread out, but carelessly messing up order is bad. I had to call up after an hour even though the person who took the order said it would take around 30 mins but when i called up they realized they didn't have my order. They took order again and by the time it was delivered to our room it was 1.5hrs and kids were quite cranky. Carelessness of staff was quite evident. BTW they gave me 2 bills for the same dinner at the checkout time even though it was delivered once, which again showed carelessness of staff. Thankfully they removed the wrong bill when I pointed it to them. - Next day when we ordered food we kept a time margin and they took more than enough time to deliver the food but when we unpacked the food we realized that cutlery and plates were not given. I had to again call them up and it took another 10 mins to get it and by that time food had cooled down. Again carelessness and lack of attention to details. - Next morning as we started to freshen up, I realized the water was only trickling through taps in the bathroom. I thought they would notice it and fill the tanks if they were emptied overnight but again they didn't do anything until we called them and complained about no water supply. They said it would come in 15 mins but even after 30 mins it did not start, so we had to wash our faces with bottled water and went to breakfast. luckily by the time we came back water was back and we could take a bath before checking out. Again this showed carelessness on their staff. - When we went for breakfast, it was limited but unlike previous days today we found an insect in idli. After our experiences the night before and in the morning, this didn't look much so we just skipped the idli and ate something outside on our bay back after checkout. Overall a good place to stay peacefully if you don't want to be disturbed, but if you are fussy about facilities and service, then it may not be a good choice.…
