We had a very good vacation at this place for 2 days, ideally located a few kms outside Virajpet . what we liked was the panoramic view from the balconies , very spacious rooms , tasty food made to order & the great hospitality of the hosts. It can get hot though midmorning inside the rooms in summer , cooler outside & we were told that AC's are being installed soon great place to relax with a book or just enjoy nature , can take some scenic drives or go for a trek to chomakund hills which is just 45 mins drive away on winding interior roads had a good time overall
We stayed 2 nights. Our room was spacious & clean. It's a lovely homestay in the middle of Coffee plantations and Rice fields. Beautiful nature all around, quiet atmosphere. We had 2 tasty dinners. The owner as well as the couple who is running the place for him were very pleasant and helpful.
Set in coffee plantations, this is a delightful B&B that will give you the full flavor of cultural richness in Southern Indian country life. Set on a hill, it offers stunning views and great hospitality.
We, a family of 4, had a nice comfortable stay at Forestdale. The rooms are large and well maintained, the bathrooms clean and the food is homestyle and decent. The view from the upper level is amazing. The caretaker couple were obliging and friendly. The owner, Sunil, was hospitable and provided a lot of local information. The location is a bit inaccessible after dark, so we were more or less required to have dinner in house. Overall a bit expensive, but I guess the rates in Coorg are generally quite high.
We had planned a family stay at forestdale for 3 nights but the awful services, poor selection of food items and too high rates was unjustified that made us cut down our stay at coorg to only two nights. We had gone in a need for a good break and a vacation but were highly dissapointed.
