The homestay is located in a beautiful setting next to a lake and hillock. A simple and elegant place with no frills but a host who is willing to provide the little extra to make your stay memorable. The home cooked food is delicious and catered to your needs. Prajwal and Prateek the hosts are well informed about the area and offered tips for our sight seeing. a nice place to chill out with family and friends very close to nature. all the rooms have 3-4 beds enough for a family to stay and the prices are reasonable. nice to go for a walk around the place and explore the lake and its surroundings.

This homestay is amidst green cover with an amazing lake view. Room was decent with an attached clean toilet. The hospitality by Prajwal and family was commendable. Prajwal is a wonderful host, always ready to help out. Both veg and non veg food were amazing. Esp.. kodagu the traditional Coorg dish, pork fry, chicken fry and kababs were far better than many restaurants in Bangalore. The family was generous enough to help us with additional food/tea preparation while our way back to Bangalore, we avoided getting down due to covid situation. This place is 45 mins drive from kushalnagar, good place to satisfy your pallete and chill out with family in the lap of nature.

Excellent food,nice location and remarkable experience... Waked up with beautifull sounds of ducks, birds. Seen beautiful fog due to monsoon season. What more to say.... I like this place rather than Medikeri, it is located in typical hill station (Northern Coorg) and you will have plenty of nearby places (Abhi matta water, Mallaila water, mandalpatti, pushpagiri hills and lot more... Nature lover will definetely enjoy this location

Overall, It was a great experience here. A decent trek, boating to the nearby lake then cycling on nearby roads. Food was fantastic. They have provided a guide who was really helpful while doing the trek. I Recommend for weekend hangout place with friends.

Mallalli falls is 10 km away from homestay and also Bisleghat is just 12 km away from homestay. It is best suited for couples, Family and also friends.

I was able to get a last minute booking for my new year trip and I can't think of a better place I could have chosen. The rooms are simple but you have everything you need. The hosts are amazing and the food was out of the world. The best part is that you do not have cell phone reception, and can be connected to outside world using wifi. This gives you an excuse to be cut off from the world and relax as much as possible. Mr. Prajwal went out of his way to make our stay memorable. I had gone with my parents and family and everyone was happy with the experience. The highlights were the late night bonfires, the amazing food and service and of course the amazing coffee. I would recommend this to any traveller who wants to enjoy the peace of Coorg.

It was a memorable stay at "Gowrikere Homestay, Sampigehalli, Somvvarpet ". We had a big gang of 27 people and coutesy was so good never felt any issues not a single complaint by any one. The food was serverd as per convince and it was good with respect to taste and quality. Also we were guided very well for sightseeing. The best of all was the hot water and fire camp. It relaxed all and made us prepred us for next day. I would like to recommend the Gowrikere Homestay as one of the best available places to be in North Coorg. We would vist again and will definitely choose Gowrikere Homestay. Thanks for making our gang trip a memorable one.
