No water in rooms at all . Were told not to use towels they were for looks only .Were told we could by towels .Room were very dark . Dock in disrepair and unsafe . Little beach full of garbage in water and on land . This could be a very nice place with a little work but no one...

There is no hot water, but I didn't mind this, and expected it from what other reviewers had said. For part of one day, however, there was virtually no water in the room at all. The sink and shower barely dribbled any water. Later in the day, the water was back, so I'm not sure what was going on. The...

I fell in love with the place at first sight. Totally tropical / nautical funky. Beautiful lush landscape, with ginger growing all over. Rooms are spacious and very clean. No hot water was just fine by me. AC was strong. Everything is way over decorated with ceramic fish and nets, but in a very nice way. Pretty little beach, but...

We went to portobello to scuba dive. The scuba dive shop is located in this hotel. We were really happy with Gabriel who picked us up from Panama city and drove us there. He was really kind and the dives were great. On the other hand the hotel is not nice, the rooms are dark and overdecorated. The main problem...

We're Panamanian, but I've never been to Portobelo. In town was a little sketchy, so we decided to backtrack & found this hidden gem of a place. It was like a little retreat. Quiet, clean, had A/C. The owner was accommodating even though we showed up pretty late at night. We spent the whole night (& morning) on the dock...

Absolutely loved the scenery and the fact that it's located in the same location as Golden Frog Scuba. The hotel is not your average luxury resort but it has the essentials, a premium location in a beautifully land escaped paradise. The management lacks customer service which is sadly common in Panamá. However, you can't beat the location, price and a...

We spent 2 nights at Coco Plum while diving with Dive Adventure. The hotel is convenient, as the dive shop is right there. The setting is spectacular with a dock set up with shaded lounging where you can watch the sunset, or just sit quietly and read a book. There was free wifi in the room or in the little...

Not a bad option to sleep overnight outside of Portobello. Rooms are comfortable although they are a bit overly decorated. Nice to have AC in humid, hot Portobello and the dock was a great addition. Cash only, no hot water, no breakfast included, but cheap options.

My friends and I decided at the last minute to stay overnight in Portobelo. We were happy to have a place to stay, so did not expect much. I agree that the cabañas are like a motel and are overly decorated. We paid $75 a night (no breakfast included, but they have delicious option under $6) and you need to...
