Sunset cabins are very far from Portobello and when you arrived there (probably after a long day of traveling) you'll find only one person working at the office which is going home at 6pm and after you will be alone until next day... Not food to buy, not drinks or any other service. WiFi only works at the communal area...

I gave this 4 stars based on Portobelo - this is a good place to stay for this area (with some caveats) and in my view it is more pleasant to stay outside Portobelo on the water. This place is an hour walk to town (attempt only in day light) and a taxi ride one way is around $4 (negotiate...

This was by far one of the best deals we could've found. I've traveled a lot- not sure what the other reviews were expecting Marriott maybe- but this place was clean, the had food, we had a private cabin with air conditioning a private shower our own patio with a hammock right on the water. There is no beach here....

We made a reservation at this place and drive by it about 3 times. We went in looking for someone once, twice, on the third time we knocked on the door of the caretaker, who reluctantly let us in. She had no idea that we were arriving and had no appeared to have no reservation for us. ( we arrived...

Pretty campy but clean, felt very safe and the people were quite pleasant. Maybe the negative reviews were about the lodge, but the cabin was fun! The water practically laps at your door. The grounds are beautifully landscaped (one tree by the water was so old and huge that I'm sure it watched the Spainards sail into harbor!) and well...

The setting is very nice in a quiet bay, nice reef just a few meters from the centre and a good place for kids to do snorkelling…. The centre is a diving training centre and the accommodation is an afterthought to make some additional money and not set up with service provision in mind. You have to pay the full...

This hotel is situated in a pretty cove, but is mainly a dive spot.....not suited to those who want a beach and swimming. It is fine as a place to hang out and relax....shade tree and plenty of chairs around. However, we found the room had a dirty floor and most distressing to those who suffer from a bad back....a...

Great view. Great hammocks. Goes down hill from there. Nasty cabins, dirty sheets and dirty towels with unknown stains. Bugs from ceiling to floor. A toad the size of a toilet bowl under the bed. No closet. No water pressure in shower. Toilet doesn't flush. Holes in the ceiling covered up by tissue paper. Mold on all four of the...

We were disappointed with our cabin and probably should have turned right around once we walked in the door. Musty smell, spiders and dead bugs around, roaches and geckos. The upstairs bed was too soft, with the spiral staircase leading up so tight that it's hard to bring your luggage. The bathroom was a little grim, with duct tape holding...
