Top spec b&b with a great food option. Stayed for 1 night and had a pre dinner walk to the castle. Dinner and breakfast were wonderfully cooked and presented. Travelled as a couple after visiting Ludlow nearby. Lovely location in quiet village. Would stay again.

We stayed here on the first night after flying in from Australia. We were interested to see the castle and town due to some very distant ancestors living here. Abbots Lodge is lovely. A bit hard to find, but worth it. Just one, generous, comfortable room with a kitchenette and bathroom separate. Very quiet, pretty area. We elected to eat... More

My friend had bought me and my husband a night away for our birthdays at Abbots Lodge, we booked a second night, and after our visit we could have easily stayed another night. We had such a fabulous weekend thanks to the great hosts Janet and John. This B&B is fabulous, it's very comfy, well decorated and very welcoming, although... More

This is one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in. Comfortable bed, excellent friendly host and delicious food. Lovely walks nearby and easy access to Hereford and the other lovely counties of Shropshire and Worcestershire. Thank you for a lovely few days, everything was perfect.

We visited for a weekend and can safely say abbots is now our favourite bnb in the UK. Loved it. When I say Bnb, in my head it was more of a perfect combination of self catering facilities and privacy with the added bonus of breakfast and any additional perfectly cooked meals you require, which can be ordered and cooked... A truly luxurious B&B within a stones throw from the ruined Wigmore castle. Extremely comfy bed, lovely toiletries, sunny terrace... what more could you want? Janet, being an ex head chef, is a great cook, breakfast was superb. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed here for a short break in March - I have to rate it as one the best B&Bs we've stayed in in the UK. Wonderful breakfasts, a roaring wood burner, lots of local information to hand, free wifi and a very friendly and helpful hostess in Janet were some of the many reasons we loved it. It's location... We had a rare weekend away without the children. We wanted somewhere to relax and unwind and Abbots Lodge fitted the bill. We were greeted by Janet on arrival and she made us feel very welcome. The place was perfect, quiet with lovely views across the valley. The room was very comfortable, well designed and had everything we needed. The... More

Stayed for 1 night in a beautiful room with a log burner, candles and dinner for two. Ambience perfect and Janet was attentive and friendly. The room is lovely with all amenities you would wish to have and a wonderfully comfortable bed as well. We had the 3 course dinner which was delicious and would have cost a fortune in... More

Don't think I've ever ranked something 10/10. This was a 10. Read the other reviews and believe what they say. Combination of very pleasant character, professional chef, architect/woodworker partner have delivered results here. Thanks Janet and John!
