This is one of the places you must visit. Just to enjoy the nature and quietness. The staff, the food, the views are to die for. The atmosphere the staff create is so special. The rooms are spacious and to add to your comfort the staff light the fireplace our room every evening.

My wife and I took our daughter and her fiancé to Tenahead and we all loved it. The horse ride to the waterfall on the Lesotho border was incredible and the Cape Vulture trail up to the bird-hide is well worth the up-hill walk. Given Tenahead's very remote location, we were stunned at the quality of the food - it...

Absolutely stunning place. The rooms and their views are stunning and we could've stayed for longer. THe staff are also so delightful and will go out of their way for you! The only downside was that we didn't know the road to get there was gravel and not the best condition - you really need a 4x4 to get there....

my overnight stay at tenahead was the result of my bad planning and realization of the extreme travelling conditions, especially for a motorcycle in the wet conditions experienced. the location is exceptional especially for hiking and relaxing or using it as a base to explore the mountain tracks, traverses and passes in a 4X4 or on an adventure bike. the...

A fisherman's dream come true and the wife can enjoy the Spa, a good massage or just cocooning in the beautiful rooms with unsurpassed views at 2600m above sea level. This is freedom at it's best ... like from the Emily Bronte novel, Wuthering Heights. Eerie, foggy and pure air, clean streams for fly fishing, beautiful mind blowing walks, lazy...

The experience was great. Getting there from Johannesburg was long but enjoyable. Refreshed my Geography and History which was a pleasant experience. The only downside unfortunately was the weather as it rained virtually the whole week-end. If it were not for the weather we would have been able to enjoy the surroundings and facilities more.

We only just made the drive before nightfall! Plan properly is the message! Definitely a 4x4 road! Such a magnificent drive though, scenery magnificent! The lodge sits comfortably in the environment and is pleasing to look at! Rooms quite large with magnificent views! We had excellent service! Food was a 5 course dinner, which was amazing considering the trek to...

Friendly service and excellent food; spa was not available due to personel crisis and internet not available due to weather; nice library available; beautiful room; interesting footpaths; no animals except livestock from locals occasionally seen. Beautiful setting high up in the mountain.

Not often you find something better than it appears in the media. I have travelled into this area for 30 years. Always in winter and autumn with photography in mind. This lodge more than ticked all the boxes. Booked for two nights and had to stay for three. View......out of this world from every direction you look! Food......how the chef...
