We had a one night stay at the hotel whilst visiting friends in the area. Staff welcoming on arrival. Accommodation was in an annex to the main pub. Bar was vibrant with large choice of ales. Food was available although we were booked to eat elsewhere. Room basic but very clean, tea/coffee facilities in room, warm, quiet, ensuite shower room...

Nice little pub. Went to a party locally. Pre drinks here followed by a night stop over in the rooms. Nice clean rooms perfect for a stop over stay. Breakfast nice. Staff pleasant and welcoming. Would recommend

Where is the hotel inspector when yo need her? The carpets were sticky, the room was full of cobwebs, the bedding was old and didn't feel very clean. The bathroom was just so dirty! The toilet seat was hanging off, there was mouldy dirt all around the shower. All very disappointing. I assume that the owners have never travelled. The...

It seems to be there is nowhere else so people pay for the privilege of being nearby a local wedding venue. I really hate leaving bad reviews. I don't believe you can say toast and cereal is a continental breakfast? There were dead spiders in the light fixtures. Toilet didn't flush. The shower was dripping all through the night At...

For £75/night I'd hope for a clean and tidy simple room and a decent breakfast. Unfortunately the reality was far from my expectation. Good points: - Friendly welcome - well designed compact room - window that opened - reasonably priced dinner - hot toast with the continental breakfast - good wifi throughout Things that could be improved: - Floor cleanliness....

Bed uncomfortable - shower room filthy..... smelled of stale urine.... Not worth £75 a night and you had to pay if you wanted cooked breakfast.... I don't think they read reviews as seems a similar pattern reading reviews of others and they're not doing anything about it. Keep away!

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever booked. When I arrived I was shown my room which I could not believe, it was like walking into a time warp, the furniture and decor including the bedding (sheets were two shades of dark blue) was very dated, I am so glad I had managed to get ready for...

The landlord was friendly and helpful as due to a technical error our room had not actually been booked, but he had one left so we were able to stay there. We ended up with a double room with a shared bathroom...right above the pub rather than in the annex building. We have stayed in pub rooms before and they...

This has to be the worst place I have ever stayed in. The room was dirty and very tatty but worst of all was the dirty bedding......disgusting. Can't believe they have the cheek to charge £75 for the room.

We stayed here for one night and it is basically an old inn. Consequently the rooms were fairly basic but clean and the beds were among the most comfortable we've slept in. While we didn't have any bar food the meals going out looked excellent and good value and the staff and locals in the bar were extremely friendly. Breakfast...
