We have stayed here many times and seen the care and dedication put into improving this lovely property whilst not spoiling it's ambiance. Last year we had a private party for our 30th wedding anniversary. All our guests had afternoon tea, an evening meal and breakfast the following day. From arrival to departure the welcome, food, service were faultless. Yesterday... More

We recently stayed here for 2 nights with the plan on visiting Hull and York. The Manor House is a Georgian grade 11 listed building and it is rather remote so a car is a definite must to get around. We had a lovely room with a four poster bed and views of the fields. The bed was lovely and... More

Lovely old Manor House which was an ideal wedding venue. Warm and comfortable, our room was on the top floor. Nice and big with four poster bed. The furniture was 'unusual' but somehow worked! Bathroom plumbing and electrics were rather dated but hey ho we were in an old Manor House and not in a modern palace so it didn't... More

Nice venue but in need of a spruce up ! Bedroom nice and clean, but no double glazing, no curtains so very cold near the windows. Wardrobe in bathroom ! Shower not very goood and sink a bit smelly . We thought £115 for the night was a bit expensive - no discount for wedding guests either ! Wedding breakfast... More

The hotel is quite remote but within a short distance to Beverley and Hull. Beverley lovely but the entire city of Hull is being dug up, so try to avoid. We paid a little extra for a larger room which was lovely with most of the furniture being antiques. Not too sure about the bathroom with 2 very tiny square... More

Wow! The happy couple had a lovely day and staff seemed always avaliable when needed but faded in the background too. Stayed in a comfortable 4 poster room. Food was well prepared, traditional food with a modern twist and good portions. Would love to come and stay again x

We had a lovely stay here for our anniversary. A wowcher deal made our stay just £129 for two nights with B&B, plus a two-course evening meal for two and afternoon tea for two. I would have paid half again for the stay of not more because the hospitality of the young waiters and bar staff was exceptional. Infact it... More

Having read other reviews and seen pictures on their web site, I thought I was in for a real luxurious short break. How wrong I was. We were given a horrible little attic room with the view of a roof. The bathroom stank of drains, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The wardrobe was so unstable, it nearly toppled over. The... We went again for Sunday lunch the meal was as expected "fantastic value". The dining room is delightful and has a lovely outlook. The selection of wines is ample and very good value. Afterwards you can have coffee either in the dining room, bar other outside in the manor grounds. Aswell as all this the staff are friendly, helpful and... More
