This could be a short or long review but the message will be the same, you won't find this class of service and accommodation anywhere other than here. First class traditional service. We couldn't fault staying here, arrived on Friday too a warm welcome, a smile and felt like being at home. Rooms are very comfy, the facilities very clean,...

So pleased you were happy with your short stay with us and suffered no ill effects from a strenuous day on the cliffs. We both enjoyed having you to stay with and hope to see you again sometime.

We spent a very enjoyable weekend at Maycroft for a birthday treat. Warmly greeted by Janet with a tray of tea and coffee/walnut cake, great start! A delicious breakfast awaited us in the mornings, the table groaning with goodies: cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, full English, plenty of hot toast and the gooseberry jam was especially yummy. Langton Matravers is a...

So pleased you enjoyed your birthday treat and had a good experience of Langton and Worth Matravers despite the rather hit and miss weather. Hope to see you all again one day.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Maycroft B&B for 4 days. This is by far the best B&B I have ever been to. First, the house is amazing and you are welcomed by a beautiful garden. We stayed in the ensuite room. The room is large, the bed is very comfortable and there is a lot of free space for...

Just returned from a 2 night stay whilst attending wedding at Wilkswood farm. Welcomed by Janet with tea and cake. Beautiful Victorian house with stunning views. Very quiet location within walking distance of only pub in the village which was very traditional offering good pub grub. Lovely double ensuite room with a massive bathroom. Very comfortable bed and all little...

The village was charming, the house was beautiful, the rooms were cozy, the full English breakfast was divine, and the gracious hostess, Janet, was a font of local knowledge. My father, son, and I came for a wedding, and didn't really know anything about the area. Janet went out of her way to help us find weather and age appropriate...

Maycroft is a treasure of a B&B tucked away down a quiet lane yet within easy walking distance of excellent pubs for eating out, with views of the beautiful Dorset countryside and the sea at Swanage Bay. Very much a family home with excellent guest facilities and a wonderful welcome for me travelling alone to a family wedding. The bathroom...

We booked 2 nights at Maycroft / Janet’s House during a 2 week walking and camping trip. We only had 2 rest days planned for the entire holiday. Staying at Maycroft was one of these and I had booked to enable us to have a lie in, catch up on sleep and have access to a good shower. It had...

This was the perfect B&B for us with our one year old baby. We had a good sized room with a huge en suite bathroom which was like having a second room in which the baby could sleep. The house itself is lovely and peaceful inside with a guest living room and a beautiful garden and views out to sea....

We were a group of three friends and wanted a base for a two day walk along the Dorset coast path in March and Maycroft proved an excellent choice. Janet was very helpful and her husband very kindly offered to drop us by car at the start of our walk on day 1. The two rooms were warm, clean and...
