We found Hotel La Rosa by accident because everything seemed to be booked out in Tirano the weekend we were travelling and we couldn't have been luckier by this accident. We were travelling by train and the owner was so kind to travel down the mountain to pick us up and bring us back to the hotel. He was also extremely generous the next morning to drive us to Tirano so that we could catch the train to Switzerland.
We could not fault this hotel- the staff were extremely professional and kind. The manager was also kind enough to research train timetables for us and book and print the tickets on our behalf. The hotel is right in the middle of this beautiful village so that you can walk around with ease. In December we were delighted to find a nativity competition that was held outdoors and you could walk up the hill in the evening viewing all the different scenes- it was such a special Christmas feeling.
Dinner was incredible value for 22 euro a head with a great range of dishes and breakfast was all that you could ask for and more.
We would stay here again without hesitation and would highly recommend it to everyone.
