The hotel looks amazing! We had a “simple” garden view room and it was huge, clean, nice decorated, with sea view and a balcony. The staff was very generous, the food at the Kilimanjaro restaurant was great with endless options and diverse every day. The pool and the private beach gives the final perfect touch. We took the ‘all inclusive’ so we could drink cocktails, beer, wine, juices and eat 3 meals a day in a nice price. I highly recommend!!

Zanzibar is the best place to wind down after a safari and visit to the Tanzania mainland. This place is about an hour away from the airport but the ride is smooth until you turn off the highway down the dirt, rocky road to the resort. Worst roads I’ve possibly ever seen but very common in Tanzania! We were greeted by staff who were pleasant enough. The rooms are nice and big with wifi and air conditioning. The GM Tuan is condescending and patronizing especially if you are a woman or not Italian. I came to him with a problem (my room was ROBBED) and he dismissed me as if I was telling him the pasta from dinner was overcooked. This place is an Italian oasis where a lot of things and food are catered around that nationality.

Poor experience overall. Boring atmosphere. No DJ, no party, no dancing, no cultural experience except beach boys dancing and pestering my wife all day at beach ruining her time. You do not come close to someone else wife. Habibi was average but very slow service and not done proper. Provide non-alcoholic island beverage but wait for long time and food we could not eat, made my wife sick and I stay in toilet for days even after leaving. Drive to and from hotel on terrible road make you more sick. We were treated poorly by everyone. We did not meet any concierge or owner even when inquiry was made. This was not a five star resort. I work at one and this is far poor to be called one. I am sick to think of this. Limitations of travel with pandemic and option to Zanzibar was ideal. The resort states they take precautions but I did not witness this. They provide mobile covid testing and some employees wear masks but most do not and most guests do not. My problem is that resort employees that come to your villa do not wear masks.

The superfluous amount of perfect reviews boasting of exceptional experience seem out of sorts when you arrive at the resort. The eyes are pleased by the views of the landscape and beach but then the heart and soul die. Rude and unprofessional customer service from reception, to spa, to dining, to beach, to management. We were greeted with fancy looking juice when we arrived and were escorted to our rooms and that was where the service ended. Rooms were average and not cleaned daily. There was garbage in my room when I checked in and when I called I was told someone would take care of it and no one ever arrived. Food was provided in excess but desserts were bland, meat was overcooked, and service was slow. The gym was a small room with no ventilation and several machines. The spa was a few tiny rooms where you were pestered to buy oils. The swimming pool closed at  17:00. The beach was nice in the morning. The afternoon was full of hawkers so prepare to be pestered. The resort chairs were broken that we had and beach towels were scarce. I inquired about booking boating and scuba and was directed to the beach. No assistance from resort. No currency exchange but my credit card and Euro was accepted. No customers or staff wore covid masks and housekeeping did not wear masks when entering my room, even when they entered my room with the do not enter sign on the door because there is no respect here. There is no evening entertainment unless one calls terrible lounge band which appeared to be employees singing and a bad DJ from the 1990s. The only thing to do at night is to go to other resorts for fun or play on your own phone in your room. Quite dead.

We had a great beach villa with own pool, jacuzzi, garden and beach cabana. 24 hour butler service provided anything we needed. Nice food at breakfast and dinner buffet. Lot of activities available. Nice white sandy beach and clear sea water. Friendly staff and especially the butlers did an outstanding job.
