We stayed in Brio for a week and had a fantastic time. Firstly, the staff are awesome (although a lot of them were in their last few days working there). The manager, Monica, is an absolute star and will go out of her way to make sure you're enjoying yourself and have everything you need. We work and study online...

Simple rooms with good a/c. What more do you need? Very short walk into town. Ten minutes, at a very slow pace. Perfect since Playa Gigante can be a little loud. Easy to get into town to party, easy to get away to some quiet. Be sure to pack a flashlight for the walk back. Nothing dangerous to fall in,...

Thanks Rory. You hit a lot of Brio's positive attributes. Many of our guests prioritize the peaceful privacy of Brio's 3-acre grounds and swimming pool to the more cramped and noisy alternatives in the village. Nowhere else around here can you be so close to the action without being stuck in it. Was quite a pleasure to have you two...

I don't know how I feel still. This is a great location with cool people and good food. It was the room...the cell like super buggy cement room. It wasn't very comfortable and these tiny bugs were everywhere. The pool was too dirty to really swim in but the view was amazing. So....it has it's ups and downs.

Thank you for your review! Feedback is very important to us. Glad you liked the food and the people here. What a bummer that you came during the precise time of year, during the wet season, when the whole region had an outbreak of tiny beetles....such is life in a forested area next to an estuary full of water during...

So the very best parts of Brio Hotel: the food and the young volunteers from around the world that work here, in that order. We met volunteers working at the hotel from S Africa, Australia, Canada, Denmark and New Zealand. They came to Playa Gigante to surf in beautiful pristine beaches, and work at Brio. The personnel are wonderful!! They...

Thanks again for staying with us Rose Marie.. We hope you had a chance to interact with Secundino, Gissel, Isolina, Carlos and Yunner, our full time Nicaraguan employees; they are lovely, just like our foreign volunteers! I went to Brio with my family. We had a great time. At first the prices for food seamed expensive but after looking around the town they seemed quite reasonable. The food was great and we enjoyed many great meals. Brio is in walking distance to the beach. If you go to Playa Gigante I would definitely recommend Brio.
