Got to ride their horses on the beach which was a magic experience. the food in the restaraunt was delicious and a really great vibe in that area, made by the great music being played there. i alos went out on a fab boat trip and enjoyed alot of good surfing nearby, i fully...

"Gigante Bay" is the coolest place to stay when visiting this area: Relaxed vibe and perfect location to enjoy Playa Gigante. It's right on the beach, has amazing views from the restaurant to the ocean to enjoy a cocktail or watch the sunset. We stayed in a private room for two nights which we really liked, it's basic but fits...

Cheers for the kind shout out Jey J! We are so glad to know you really enjoyed your stay and got a chance to jump onboard Johns sail boat for the booze cruise. The sunset and cliff-jumps never get tiring here that's for sure. You will need to come back again soon for more pirates punch and an all round...

Our stay was less than enjoyable. The dorms are dirty: a coating of sand in the beds, garbage between the walls and beds and the walls, poor construction of the bunk-beds but also the doors and cabinets. Dorm bathrooms are dirty and without hand soap. There is no common kitchen to use. One staff bartender was rude and overcharged us...

Hi Andiedenis, We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. As we are coming out of the recent wind season, sand and dust is a common occurrence in all properties situated right on the beach here. Our cleaners do their best to minimise the amount of sand that can accumulate in the rooms as much as...

I was at Gigante Bay during Christmas and New Years and I had a real blast. The rooms and dorms are clean and you have accommodation posibilities for every budget. The Location with its breathtaking sunset is amazing. The staff is well trained and super friendly. Next to surfing on some of Nicaraguas best Surfbeaches, there are so many things...

My husband & I arrived without reservations or knowing much about the area. We wanted to experience the beach but not the touristy San Juan del Sur. After a quick tour, we decided this was the place. We chose a private room with hot water and A/C for $65 per night. It was located next to the main property, which...

After travelling through Nicaragua for the last few weeks I was ready to get out of the traveler hot spots and hit a more tranquil spot with less of a tourist scene. Someone recommended Camino del Gigante hostel as surfing destination, so I was expecting Playa Gigante to be similar to San Juan del Sur or busy Tamarindo where I had spent the previous weeks. To my surprise this is a nice chill out place, with great atmosphere and a wide offer of activities. Surfing, sailing, hiking, backhorse riding... you name it!...
