Stayed in other locations in Barreal and this is definitely the most expensive (2-3X!) however it was worth it for the view alone. And I was surprised to find it also has the best food in Barreal (and I have tried several restaurants) for a reasonable price! The rooms are rustic but there are fine touches such as a high...

Stayed here for 2 nights during our honeymoon. We couldn't have been more pleased. Alejandro and Christina, the owners, could not be more welcoming. Alejandro even picked us up when our hire car broke down! Rooms - lovely and spacious. All have GREAT views out over the high Andes...simply stunning! Great with a glass of Malbec as the sun goes...

My stay at Paso de los Patos was completely perfect. Far beyond the tranquillity and luxury that I was expecting from a small town like Barreal. The rooms were stunning. The food was great. The hosts Claudia and Aurelio, made us feel like family. The free breakfasts were delicious and generous. The view of the Andes from all the rooms...

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of staying in Posada De Los Dos Patos for 4 nights over the first week of March and we cannot sing enough praises for this beautiful Posada and it's incredibly kind owners, Claudia and Aurelio. From the moment we arrived, Claudia embraced us with the sincerity of a family member and along...

We went there after some recommendation by friends, and already knowing Barreal, and yet we were still amazed by the atmosphere, hospitality, and relax-promotion of the place. Nothing stood between our room and the Andes, the food was AMAZING, and the owners were instant friends. Liked it so much, we went there again the following week with the whole family....

We stayed for a few days and loved the place so much we came back the following week with the whole family. Fabulously friendly atmosphere, delicious, wholesome food, lot's of activities to partake in or ideal to just chill out and enjoy the view. Day and night possess spectacular views, don't miss the view through the courtyard at night -...

We found this incredible place almost by accident and so happy we did! We did not stay there but had a wonderful lunch and then went back for a superb dinner the following evening. Our party of three adults and 2 under 8 year old kids were made to feel very welcome. The views are stunning and the food fabulous...

As mentioned by the previous reviewer this place is straight out of a life style magazine and yet it has a homely atmosphere created by the wonderful owners. The scenery is quite simply jaw dropping and the sound of the wind through the poplars around the property and running streams is one I wont forget. The rooms are perfect in...

After we have parked our car after a beautiful entree the amazement continued. The place is quiet. The only sound is coming from the howling Andes-winds. It was as if we just walked in a life style magazine. The best place to go to after a day trip through the Andes. But the very best is the hospitality of the...

In the middle of nothing, lovely " posada" 10 rooms all looking at the Andes, nothing in between. Looked after by the owners, very special ! Don't miss the 'carrovelismo' with don Toro, you can make reservations from the hotel. Alejandro and la "Gorda" can't be better !!!

“We believe the building we stayed in, rooms #7 & #8, has the best view of the Andes. All rooms look at the same Cordillera, but some other porches may have a slightly obstructed view due to the large trees on the property. I believe the final building, rooms #9 & #10 have a similar view to our room.”
