Initially booked a room for 180000, the cheapest room with airconditioning. it was just horrible. Bed sheets were dirty, as was the room. Bathroom was even worse. I don't even want to know what the cheaper rooms without AC look like. Decided to go for the more expensive new deluxe room, which looked a lot cleaner and newer. Had spent... More

We stayed in New Melati hotel in November 2016 for 3 nights, for a diving trip. The hotel has newer and older rooms, the newer rooms are likely worth the 40k IDR difference in price. We stayed in one of the older rooms, which had a firm bed, a working AC, and a hot shower. And that's about all the... More

Our experience at the New Melati Hotel was terrible. The staff was the rudest and least helpful hotel staff I've ever stayed with. We spent several days in Gorontalo, and after 2 days we were told that the Melati was a nicer place than where we had been staying, so we went and checked them out. It looked quite nice... More

The hostel was basic standard and nice. Quiet clean and located in the center. Wifi available but sometimes unstable. During the night it can be noise due to the square and the little food market on the other side of the street. Some of the staff was really polite and very helpful while most of them were not friendly or... More

First time to Gorontalo for a dive trip and a friend of mine told me to stay here and so I did. After 9 hrs travelling from Manado, I arrived at the hotel and looks like there's only 1 staff who really work and know his job there. The room is nice and clean, toilet is good (hot water not... More

I think that the room I stayed in (209) was the best on the property, upstairs with a balcony overlooking the courtyard. It had two twin beds and a desk, and the aircon worked well. There was a "real" shower that sometimes had hot water and a large sink. This was fine for the time that I spent in Gorontalo,... More

The hotel is in a good location and you can walk to most places and restaurants. At the reception there is one young guy who is so helpful with whatever you ask him. Always friendly and trying the best to give you a pleasant time. The standard rooms are basic and cleaning could be improved but the prize where amazing.... More

We were in Gorontalo for 4 days to extend our visas and stayed here. We arrived at 05:30 off the ferry from Wakai and could go to our room just after 08:00. Our room was nice, air con and a tv (we watched a few animal planet documentaries). We didn't have hot water when we arrived so they sent in... More

The Lonely planet has it all wrong. Except for the garden this place just lacks atmosphere, The staff do not speak English. The internet is not working. The manager is unavailable because he is sleeping during daytime. Any information on the boat to the Togeans is lacking. The rooms have one "cosy"white bright light and aircon and a small tv... What i like about this hotel is they have a garden in the centre along the side all rooms. I suggest to booked the new deluxe hotel since it has a better room with new furniture and new building. Food standard. From my experience during two nights stayed there with different room on different day. Day 1On, 2nd fl. room... More
