Fentastic and beautiful location in lovina beach. Fentastic beach front hotel. Beautiful beach front rooms and garden. Only problem is food quality and they have to improve the quality of food.Fentastic beach front pool and reception. Garden area is more beautiful and beautiful yoga center towards beach. Very peaceful and fentastic hotel in lovina.

I was fortunate enough to sign myself up for an eight night yoga retreat. There is absolutely nothing I can fault about this place. The staff are incredible - so friendly smiley and accommodating anything we wished to change/add to our itinerary they did instantly. The two bedrooms villa with pool was perfect! My friend and I wanted to go on holiday but I’m a bit too long in the tooth to share a room - we shared outside space and a pool and it was bliss. Spa treatments - I think we went through the menu - nothing but positive things to say about it.. Yoga in the shala - as we are both pretty new and not very flexible yet! our lovely teacher Kadek made sure we were properly supervised, shown any new positions so that we never caused ourselves any injury and she is incredibly knowledgeable about all forms of yoga and the spirituality behind it. Food- my favourite subject! Delicious well cooked food from really tasty fresh ingredients. I loved the fact I could try Indonesian cuisine where my friend stayed with more western based dishes. Swimming pool - our own was lovely but the big pool by the bar and restaurant was idyllic . Gardens - so beautiful! Yes there are signs that there might by curious wildlife out there but then why come to Bali if you don’t want to see the odd lizard, bat, gecko or crab! Beautiful butterflies, colourful birds, water features, statues, temple in the grounds - what’s not to love about this place This was very much out of season so perfect for anyone wanting to escape reality!

My husband and i have visited many different hotels and villas in our lives from around the world, and we've never had a worse experience than we had at Puri Bagus Lovina. We booked this hotel for 6 nights of our month long honeymoon. However, within the first 45 minutes of arriving we immediately noticed something was off about this place. Luckily for us, this was our second stop on our honeymoon instead of the first location, or we may have fell victim to the tourist trap they are running here as well. However, we had the pleasure of staying in amazing villa prior and getting a good lay of the land before coming here. The first thing we noticed about this place is every service they off is 1.5 to 3 times the price of the same services at any other location around the island. At first we though "hey, good for them. Make their money. We'll just go else where for these services."... Then we realized how isolated the hotel is from the surrounding areas. Its in a huge empty area making it daunting for tourists to travel outside of it. They also offer every service to make themselves self sufficient. It seems convenient, but every car, meal, ride from the airport, laundry, tour, and excursion they offer are double to triple what they would be if you booked with anyone else. So theyre essentially isolating tourists and hiking their prices. Then my husband noticed a spider (I kid you not) the size of his fist hiding in one of the MANY massive holes in the lawn right outside our rooms door. It had babies with it, and we suspect that all the of the large ground holes around the villa are home to this breed of huntsman spider. My husband came to me at that point and informed me he wanted to leave as soon as possible. We decided to only stay the one night, for the swimming with dolphins experience, which was the reason we were at this hotel in the first place. He went up to the front desk and was told, and I quote "you cannot leave early." He came back to me very upset, and i went to speak with the front desk lady letting her know that wed be moving the dolphin experience to tomorrow morning, and would then like to book a ride back to the other side of the island. I gave her a vague excuse about an emergency and said it was non negotiable, but we would pay for the night we stayed. She told me since we'd booked through booking.com that i would just need to contact them to get our money back for the nights we didnt stay, and i agreed. The only reason we booked this hotel was because they advertised a reasonably priced swimming with dolphins experience. However, upon arrival we were told if would be double the price, as the first portion if the payment was merely a dolphin viewing. This is particularly frustrating due to the fact that we'd left a note when booking online that we were coming for the swimming with dolphins experience. Thats fine. We agreed to the new price and booked it for 6am. However, upon arriving at the boat at 6am the next day, we were informed by the captain that the hotel cannot actually offer a swimming with dolphins experience, as they do not have the proper equipment for it, but that he would take us to a reef to snorkel instead. We obviously declined as the price he was charging was nearly double what it should be. We booked our own boat for the same day for half the price. The bed was extremely hard. The rooms were very small for the price. My husband was not able to sleep all night. Then, twice the staff came into our room without permission right after we had stepped out of the villa. The second time they came in without permission, they took it upon themselves to pick up and move my things. With my profession i have some very sensitive equipment that would have cost hundreds to replace if theyd broken it. Both times they waited until right after wed stepped out of the room, unlocked the doors themselves, and came in with no warning. It was extremely invasive. But wait, it gets worse. When it was time for us to leave the following morning, the staff proceeded to stop us at the exit and demand we pay them directly for all 6 days that we'd booked. Obviously, i absolutely was not agreeing to this. Instead of calling us a car (as they said they would), there was no car waiting for us, only 3 senior staff members trying to explain that even though we had already booked the room through booking.com, and sent them an email directly letting them know we'd only stay one night, that we also needed to pay them on top of it. They made up some excuse about a fee, and said we took 5 days from them with our reservation. This was another clear lie as the restaurant staff had informed us the night before that only 12 of their rooms were currently in use, and it was very slow because we came in off season. When they realized i absolutely would not under any circumstances be paying for 6 nights, they attempted to knock it down to three nights. I told them they could contact booking and deal with them directly. They proceeded to argue with us for THIRTY MINUTES forcing us to pay them directly. Finally, after several frustrating phone calls, and aggravating conversations, booking.com sent them a cancellation request and they forced me to pay for one night before leaving. By this time, 40 minutes later, I had already had my husband call a gojek to pick us up and told them i would not be using their car services or letting them scam us out of anymore money. They proceeded to get frustrated with me telling me that their poor driver had been waiting on us... Let that sink in. Waiting. On. US?! Several times during this conversation they proceeded to try and belittle me by ignoring my words to them and addressing my husband instead, saying side commentary like "Sir, can you please explain to your wife that..." And " Sir, can you please tell her to calm down" and " Sir, can i talk to you over here?" As though my husband was somehow not just as frustrated with the situation as i was. I was standing right in front of them, showing them proof of our booking and explaining that we had done everything theyd asked of us the night before to check out, and instead of acknowledging me, they began to ignore me in favor of the man to my left. Needless to say, my husband was not amused and neither was I. This was truly one of the worst experiences ive ever had in my lifetime. And for it to be on our honeymoon was truly something out of a horror movie. There are some AMAZING and absolutely stunning locations to stay in bali for Much MUCH less money that will actually help you instead of trying to scam you out of as much money as possible. I highly recommend you check them out before booking here. There is nothing that they can offer you that you cant get for half the price else where. The entire place gave off a retirement home type feel from the moment we arrived. For reference, you can get a full two story house with a private pool that houses 12 for the same nightly price youre paying here. The hotel we chrcked into after leaving has all the same amenities for half the price, and the room is twice the size. Dont let them take advantage of you the way theyve been doing others. And definitely dont let them pick you up from the airport before youve had a chance to figure out the monetary value of things on the island. I have some amazing recommendations available if youre looking for a place to stay on the island. You can do so much better than this.

Puri Bagus Lovina is located right on the ocean on the north side of Bali. Being right next to the ocean is spectacular!!! The sunsets are awesome and the sound of the waves is so soothing. Mrs. Ayu put together an awesome menu of activities from early morning dolphin watching to snorkeling to a beautiful water temple blessing and an awesome hike through a tropical forest filled with exotic fruits, a rice plantation, an amazing snack with a local forest dwelling family, and to top it all off a beautiful waterfall. The daily yoga was also wonderful. This is a great resort and I highly recommend

Our beach-side bungalow gave us the feeling of actually living in Bali. The architecture was just like all the Balinese homes we visited. The staff treated us like royalty. They called us by name and appreciated our presence. The highlight was the "romantic dinner" complete with guitar accompaniment. The couples massage was very relaxing.

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous. We had a superior room (huge!) right at the back which meant total peace and tranquillity. The hotel setting is lovely - right on the ocean with raised seating areas to lie on or even eat at. I have never felt so chilled. The pool is huge and stunning; one to really exercise in and there were lots of loungers as well. What really made this hotel was the staff who could not do enough for you. Our air conditioner was making a noise and it was dealt with immediately even though the problem was puzzling! We totally loved the spa. It is beautifully laid out by the ocean and we had massages and I had a hair spa which I totally recommend! Thanks to Ayu the manager who was so kind and friendly - we will be back. I have rarely felt so relaxed on holiday.

Last visited this hotel 16 years ago. When we came back, the staff and management welcomed us like long lost family members. Every staff from garneners, cleaners to F&B and Front office staff we encountered was professional, friendly and warm. They made our visit really special. We celebrated a birthday here and they surprised us with a specially decorated room and dinner setup in the restaurant. Special shout out to Ibu Suarti and Ibu Ayu. It was difficult to leave the hotel. We will be back!

We stayed next door at 1000 Dreams but went here for several meals for variety. A beautiful restaurant near the beach, with very professional staff and my compliments to the chef. All our food was beautiful - well presented but with good flavor and balance. Easily the best food we had over our 3 weeks in Bali.

We stayed a couple of nights in Puri Bagus Lovina and really enjoyed it. The resort is perfectly located and very quiet. The staff is very friendly and asks proactively on how to improve things, e.g., breakfast. The latter is the only point which could be improved a little bit. The selection of fruits, juices, ham, bacon etc. does not match with this kind of resort and service.
