Like other reviewers said, the family that run this little homestay is great. Gede, the father is a sweet old man interested in who you are and Ketut, his son, really runs the place and is kind and intelligent (although still trying to make a buck off you for sure, you still need to bargain for everything...). The room itself...

The standard room is just okay for the price. Dirty walls, mosquitoes and very old bathroom. One of the son (or cousin) was annoying, always trying to sell me this or that. Same in the beach :you won't find any peace as old women are coming every 2 minutes to sell massage or souvenir. Nothing much to do in lovina.

From this homestay I’ll remember its cleanliness and comfort, its small black sand beach, the pleasant staff who is always there, the fishermen who take you to see dolphins at daybreak, the guys on the beach who invite you to play the guitar, the young coconut from the waffle at breakfast to the Sate Lilit and the fresh juice. Plus...

I had a great experience staying with Gede and his family. They have a few different types of rooms available and the new one I chose at the top of the building was fantastic. Very good AC and hot water shower. But the best thing about this place, and there are many to choose from in Lovina, was the family...

I am not sure if it is company policy but as others have said, we were in our car and waiting at traffic lights when we were approached and handed a business card for somewhere to stay. We then followed this chap who worked there back as we thought at the very least he would take us to the beach....

After bargaining the price down to 130k a night it's an okay place to stay - what you would expect for that price. Off the main road so it's quiet. Rooms are clean enough. Few mosquitoes at dawn, easy access to the beach (a bit dirty). The staff can easily arrange activities and scooter rentals for you.

Very good price for value. Runned by a very nice family. If you come to lovina beach area and want to relax this is the perfect spot. The food is generally good and for good price. The people are really nice but sometimes annoying selling you things.

Gede Homestay found us. We were doing a scooter road trip around the north and west coast over 4-5 days, we had the intention of staying near Lovin beach the first night we had pulled up at the side of the road to check the map and the owner pulled up along side and asked us where we were staying,...

I cannt say enough good things about my stay at Gede! I traveled solo and stayed for 4 nights. What a fun time! Mr Gede and his family went out of there way to make me feel at home. I never felt like I was traveling alone! I had one of the cheaper rooms but had AC and hot water....

Gede homestay is a great place to stay. The service is wonderful, the restaurant delicious, view amazing and price fair. Lovina is a quieter place than Kuta and a wonderful place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of busy Kuta. The location to the beach is perfect, you can wake up in the morning walk 25m...

Gede Homestay is a nice traditional and cheap family run homestay on the beach of Lovina. It is located 2 kilometres from the city center, near a small fisherman village. Mister Gede and his family take care of you and your trips around Lovina. The homestay has several bungalows with a combined living/bedroom and separate bathroom with bathtub. Each bungalow has a seat in front with a view over the small, but colorful garden. The small restaurant offers delicious food and the view from the restaurant is fabulous. ... more   less
