Although only built in 1996, it seems older than that. Comfortable bedroom with lovely view of the river. Dining room dark and a little depressing and the food was average compared to all the other meals we had on our two week stay in South Africa. Perhaps to be expected when it is so far 'off the beaten track'. Not... More

Rooms and service was good! Nice trip to infanta and stopover at the Bushpub are recommended! Fishing paradise, Boat Hire! Church building from 1836 to be viewed and the main attraction is the Malagas Pond!

My Father and I have been going to this lovely destination for the past 5 years and we managed to go twice this year. Great location for bike riding -Fishing and general relaxation. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating. This hotel has a great homely feel and we will continue to support them over the coming years. Thank... More

The hotel is located in a beautiful setting and is nicely laid out. The rooms are neat, clean, tidy and well maintained. However, the experience of staying at the hotel is very poor. We had intended to eat all our dinners and breakfasts at the hotel, but after the first evening dinner, we changed our minds quickly. That meal was... More

It was fantastic - hotel, boating, weather, people, everything!! I would recommend it to anyone for an interesting vacation . The journey rom Swellendam was about 30 km down a sandy road then across the Breede River by Pont ( Not necessary-we went down the wrong side of the River - but fun! ).

What a beautiful setting. It was quite an experience getting there not used to all the gravel roads. The food was good and going over the pont was a great experience. We really enjoyed it. The food was good and a very generous helping.

Hotel located approx. 45 min drive from De Hoop Collection. Good breakfast and dinner (buffet). I slept in a simple but clean room and there are various room options/upgrades. Hotel does not accept dogs. Free parking and petrol station about 50 m from hotel (big advantage as the other petrol station is about 60 km far). Friendly for families. Friendly... More

A great experience at a hotel with all round friendly and helpful staff. We had a superior room on the fist floor with a view overlooking the well known ferry. The room is well appointed with all the aspects of a country hotel you would expect. It was very cold but the two panel heaters in the room did manage... More

On this our second visit to the Malgas ferry we stayed over for one night at the Malagas Hotel where we had enjoyed lunch previously. Lovely old establishment, comfortable rooms and friendly service from our hosts and staff. Dinner and breakfast were good, leaving us well rested and prepared for our onward journey to Cape Town. We will return some... More

Spent a long weekend full board at very reasonable rates. Enjoyed ourselves immensely. Food and accommodation was excellent. Staff are very friendly and service was great. Cannot wait to return. Located on the banks of the Breede River and using pontoon to cross with our vehicle was an experience
