Stayed for one day with friends, extremely hospitable and courtious staff, neat and clean, well spruced and spacious rooms. Delicious food, served hot. A lifetime experience. Memorable moments indeed, spent at the resort, will be cherished forever.
We a group of 8 friends enroute to munsiyari chanced upon this resort near chaukari..Everything from the cottages ,bonfire and the food was just splendid. The staff was very courteous and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. I would rate it at 4.5 on a scale of 5. Would recommend it to everyone and will definitely go there with my family.
The people in this property are not running a business, they have arranged a Granny's home visit. They are all so polite, warm and untiring. The property is beautiful with a lovely view of the woods and a stretch of Nanda Devi.. outstanding hospitality, home cooked food. Neeraj is very very sweet person. My kids, parents and pet dog - all thoroughly enjoyed. The bonfire area is an awesome place to sit and bask in the sun in the mornings and to dance at night 😊 the cafe has lot of board games for the kids to have their own set of fun.. and the best part is no one asks to be quiet, not make noise, not play. MUST VISIT!! Vivek's team rocks!
We had an excellent stay at Chestnut, right from doorstep services to food, from a peaceful location to amazing Nanda Devi views, we had a fantastic stay there. Right after we left, I felt a lil sad as I wanted to stay over for a few more days. We even took our dogs and they had the most fun, they got a lot of space to run around and play. I even loved the food there and bonfire as well! Neeraj bhaiyya is really sweet, even accompanied us to a temple and took us to his village. Great services indeed! If you're looking for a peaceful vacation, to enjoy the view, sit in the sun, enjoy cozy winter nights and at the same time have great food and bring your pets, this is just the place for you! Thank you Chestnut! This place surely has my heart ❤️
Just short of Chakouri, Kumaon, this lovely property set in the woods on the highway between Bageshwar and Munsiyari, is a delight. We arrived unannounced at 5pm off season but the staff was eager and helpful and made us very comfortable. In the middle of nowhere amongst the woods and with cottages spread across the property it’s a wonderful place to unwind and camp out for a long stretch and explore the area around. And then there are the views- with the majestic Nanda Devi range looming right up in front with the Trishul and the Panchachuli Range flanking either side the views are to ‘live’ for.... The food is great and the place is really cozy despite the hard rain all night we were warm and dry and then in the morning the rains stopped and the mist cleared and the mountains revealed themselves... wish we’d stayed longer... …
