I am SO unhappy with this resort. I booked dates that I said may change due to flights. They were ok about it. I had to change dates. They twice said they couldn't do it, and I had to cancel then rebook. I cancelled and was unable to rebook! I contacted them and after much chasing, they said, book with agent! This was not possible because the dates were not available and had they changed initially as agreed, I'd have the booking in my chosen location. After a stressful situation I have had to change my holiday and book with another resort in a different location. This resort is unreliable, and have no customer care skills what so ever. It was as jf they didn't want our custom. I advise to steer clear and find a friendly resort who welcome you kindly.

The concerns with this place started even before I got here. Walking up and down the beach looking for the hotel in the 32c heat with luggage. There is no sign from where the boat drops you off. The sign which was there is missing. (if you need to find it it is up the laneway next to Sand and Sea) The pictures are a little misleading in that the property is a little dated and outdoor maintenance is not what it could be. Units are clean inside and quite nice. Staff are really well intentioned, but don't expect international hotel standards of service. It is really a great place for a family stay. Yes you can buy alcohol but no pork...

Simply not good enough room was old and dated, the so called spa was empty and dirty on arrival requiring you to fill it. It did work once filled however was unappealing. The courtyard entrance has a water feature/moat this was nothing more than a bath for mosquitoes Some units had water lilies however ours was empty The bed was hard and squeaky. The tv reception was from the 1960’s on the few non Thai channel s available. The wifi simply no use at all Breakfast was very average cold fried eggs, boiled sausage and bees in jam!! No early check in while most of the nearby unit’s appeared empty. I have stayed in places a third of the which were much better. If you plan to stay in Railay there are many options to choose from that will cost you a lot less

Getting to the location is a nightmare, it is far from the pier and difficult if you have luggage. There is no clear signage to show where the hotel is. So you end up walking in the wrong direction in the blistering heat. When you eventually find your way to the hotel reception you are greeted by very stern faces in an abrupt manner. The first thing they ask for is card to hold a deposit or cash, which I explained I will draw out at an ATM as soon as I put my luggage in the room. The lady insisted I leave my passport as a deposit, not understanding I will draw cash at an ATM and give it to them. When I reached my private jacuzzi villa, I was surprised to see an empty dirty jacuzzi. When I asked they said I should fill it myself. I did not pay for a jacuzzi villa, that needed to be cleaned first then filled by myself. When I opened the tap just to check, it smelt like old sewerage water. I gave up on using the jacuzzi. The toilet was blocked too. It was leaking all over the bathroom floor, quite gross and disgusting to walk into a bathroom with toilet water on the floor. When it was shower time, I was shocked to find only a cold water option as the hot water was ice cold. The most unpleasant experience after a hot sweaty day. There are gaps in the doors that allow all the insects to eat you alive, in this type of surrounding doors should be properly sealed to avoid insects and lizards. The room has poor lighting too. Definitely not worth the money spent.

Definitely not a four star resort,we had a villa with a jacuzzi which didn't work and smelt really bad .The water was cold so didn't enjoy our hot baths before going to bed.The staff only worried about your credit card or your cash money, eventually we had to leave our passport at the front desk.Very unprofessional. Won't recommend this hotel not worth the money and the time wasted to actually get here. .

I will not be humble, European guy here. This is the best place I've ever been in my life! Yes, it is subjective, but for now, this beautiful place is my favorite! Pure exotic, friendly people, mix of different nationalities (which I prefer) and awesome beaches... every place here makes it's own story! Bungalows are filled with piece, palms, birds, monkeys and many other nature... looking good outside and inside, I liked so much those "less light" atmosphere in our room 😉 Funny and comfortable bed, like you are really deep out of the world, just wonder what is the tree that is made of? 🤔 Electro-car driving is nice, I was shocked with it. Free driving to the reception/back&forth. Breakfast - full of different types of food (even french fries!), and for a Pescatarian like me, pure satisfaction with a choice (sea food with a loooot of vegetables, oh how I miss those shrimps!); juicy pleasure is here too - a few different (ananas juice for me please! ^^) Street food and night life - many choices around resort, do you wanna eat something later or wanna drink/party outside? Many, many, many choices! And usually, you are welcomed with warm smile! ^^ In a few words - can not wait to visit you again Railay Bay Resort ! You are guilty because I like Thai kitchen 😉🙏

I would give this hotel a solid 3.5 maybe even a 4. The location is great and definately a highlight. We had a family suite with a pool and it was nice and we enjoyed it very much. There were a few things here and there that needed a little updating in the room but overall the room was good. Hotel staff was nice and the pool was over looking the beach. The breakfast was decent and had plenty of options. The beach sunsets were spectacular. Even saw monkeys by our roof. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

For us (a family with two kids), the location was perfect. The resort is located on the beach with two nice and clean pools. The room was old and shabby and in need of renovation. The staff wasn’t very helpful when we asked for simple things, even though they at times were up to ten employees standing at the front desk. The breakfast was not very delicate.

We made a reservation for this resort, and were looking forward to our stay. Due to a problem with our creditcard the resort could not take the payment a week in advance and cancelled our booking. The problem was solved quickly, and we contacted the resort by mail and even telephone to tell the everything was alright and that we really wanted to stay with them. We offered to pay instantly the same amount as the reservation at Booking.com, including the part Booking.com normally contributes. In the end we received the answer that we could make a reservation directly to them, but for double the price. We were really disappointed by this kind of 'help'. Eventually we had a great stay in Railay, but absolutely not in this resort.

I visited this hotel 7-14 March 2022 and can definitely imagine visiting it again if I return to Railay Beach. Incredibly nice resort with a teeming greenery throughout the whole area. There were monkeys in the area that charmed all the guests with their fun games. The staff were nice and helpful and the hotel had small golf carts that you could get on if there was room. There were food stores and pharmacies available in the hotel area. The double deluxe room had everything one could wish for. Clean, nicely decorated and pretty large. Plenty of storage and a fresh bathroom. The pool was large but slightly smaller than in the pictures. It was cozy and you had a very nice view of the sea. However, the pool area lacked parasols, which is a big miss as the sun is very strong and people had to squeeze in when there was shadow. The beach was right in front of the hotel and I can’t find words about how amazing the view was and how nice the water was. Compact sandy bottom, fresh water, warm and above all clean. You could swim for hours. Kayaks and SUP were available for rent for a small fee. Minus: The breakfast was very boring for those who expect bread and cold cuts. A lot of sand came into the room and the floor got dirty quite quickly. The water pressure and temperature in the shower was quite bad. Highly recommend this place to just EVERYONE. A wonderful hotel that has the most perfect location on Railay Beach.
