rooms are clean and well decorated. Wifi works in room and around pool. Breakfast is a nice selection of eggs, Thai or western style food including pancakes, pastries and cereal...though the Thai breakfast options were nicer. The room is the most expensive we have stayed in but it is on the nicer side of Railey and all the hotels (only... More

We stayed at the Sand Sea resort for 5 days in September. I was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but I can honestly say for what we paid for the resort, it was great. The rooms were lovely and clean, with a large balcony. Breakfast was fine, nothing to really brag about, but there were enough... More

Getting there: Long tail boat from Aonang beach to Railay beach THB 200/2pp, the boat will stop in front of Sand Sea resort, west railay beach. It is just a short walk to check in. Location: Great location at west railay beach, just 5 mins walk to the eastern of railay, good view, nice beach, it is just a stone... More

Just an average resort and overpriced for what it is. The rooms are basic and the showers are terrible, one minute water would be roasting hot next freezing cold. Wifi didn't work at all in the rooms. Breakfast not so good. Nice pool area and located right on Railay Beach which is absolutely stunning. Unless you are a group of... More

I stayed in this resort for 2 nights. My room type was grand deluxe which was upgraded. I bought the trip as the package including hotel, one day trip, 2 meals dinner, etc. Btw, Room is nice, clean, and spacious. I also was enjoyable for the sunset. Very nice view of railey beach. No any room has the sea view.

Our family with 2 young toddlers (3 & 18mth) had a great week at Sand Sea Resort in Krabi, mid September. We landed in Bangkok at 2pm on a Tuesday and thought we'd have to stay the night before going to Railay. Thanks to SSR's airport transfer, we were able to get a flight to Krabi airport at 7pm and... The hotel is on the west side on raily so the beach is nice, and the pool is good too. We stayed at the grand delux room. The room is big, new and clean . But- The service in the hotel is very poor, makes you want to leave the hotel. Seems that they don't care about their guests. The... More

A totally different part of Krabi Island. Having to take a ferry or longtail to Railay which is the popular destination for rock climbers. The Sand Sea Resort is okay with mostly all Bungalows. i booked the Superior Air conditioned Bungalows. Decor of the rooms is by no means luxurious but clean and basic. Wifi does not really work well... More

We came to this resort by ferry Phuket. The location can't be beat. The boats drop you off directly in front of the hotel. The view is incredible, which you can see from the pool, and the restaurant. The staff were very friendly, and especially sweet to our blue eyed baby, who was spoiled by all. Our first room was... More
