Our hotel experience was pretty good and the location was unreal. The rooms are old and dated but cleaned well everyday. The only caveot is that the room stinks of mold. I would recommend staying here but am glad to be in a different bed...More
Sand Sea resort is beautiful. The staff is very professional and polite. They have two pools on site, and all the bungalows are not further then a 2 min walk to the beach. The restaurant at the hotel is pricey.
I would recommend this hotel especially because of the location near the popular Railay beach. The hotel is bungalow type which is reasonably well maintained with a nice pool. There are many nearby restaurants/bars in walkable distance. Also, you may visit to nearby islands by...More
We were traveling as a couple with a 22-month old and a mother-in-law.

We had a brilliant vacay in railei! The sand sea is a brilliant and afordable place to stay with a spot right in the beach front. The deluxe grand building rooms are really nice and well designed and spacious. The pools (there are two) and...More

Do you mean the pier in Ao Nang? I was there in March and there are 3 piers where you can take a public longtail boat to Railay West where the resort is. They aren't technically piers but just boats parked on the beach. One is at Noppharat Thara Beach and the other two are at Ao Nang Beach. Just ask around, they are easy to find. The cost is 100 baht per person and the boats leave regularly.
The longtail boat will drop you off at Railay West Beach right in front of Sand Sea Resort and it's a very short walk to the resort lobby. When you're going back to Ao Nang, just walk to the ticket booth on the beach which is about 100 meters from the lobby to your right and you can buy a ticket back to Ao Nang from there. Or you can just ask the receptionists when you're checking out and they'll tell you where to go. A bellboy will also help you carry your belongings in a push-cart.
