We stayed at Campbell's Cove campground for 2 nights in July 2015. We would definately come again to this campground

The GOOD
- The owner's ( Jenn and father ) are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They will go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay at their campground and your needs are met.
- There are no "permanent" seasonal trailers , everyone is camping there for a set amount of time, while there are some regulars who visit every year for extended period of time
- The people within the campground were very friendly, from our experience mostly locals. not too many people from around the country
- The VIEW! oceanfront views, cannot beat only a few steps from the beach
- large sites to accommodate our 35 foot trailer - full service 3 way hook ups are in the back - only camping is oceanfront.

The needs improvement:
- The kids play park sand - needs to have someone clean the sand on a regular and add a garbage can. there was alot of garbage from kids playing in there ie: snack wrappers, juice boxes etc. parents arent always with their kids at the park . as its small and generally within eye view, so i assume this is why kids throw their garbage.
- Sand at the beach also has garbage -add a garbage can on the beach and have someone clean it once a day for 30 minutes i think it would go a long way. Its sad that people do not take their garbage with them and have to spoil such a nice spot.
- 25 minutes into closest town for gas/groceries/liquor - and hours are limited as such a small town. we were fine, but just be prepared for that
- Laundry - one washer and dryer. I went to use it several times but the camp staff were doing their laundry this day so attempting to do laundry was a whole day event......although they did offer to take theirs out.

Overall this is a small , quaint, family friendly campground and trailer park. There are not too many ammenities...we have a trailer, so it is fine for us as we come for the ocean views and family friendlyness. Tons of kids between 0-12 years of age.
We would highly recommend the park to others and will be going again next year.
We made many memories and will remember our east coast trip because of this park

See you soon!

After spending a week at The Cove a couple of years back, we decided to return seeing as we had to take the ferry. I want to thank Shannon and Katie for taking such great care of us. Still a beautiful campsite, great views ( we had site # 43 ). No complaints at all, clean bathrooms, so glad that they really make sure you recycle to the fullest. Only campground I would stay in if we ever decide to go back...Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice quiet campground.

We loved our 4 nights at Campbells Cove on PEI. This campground is right on the water so sitting next to the beach by a fire was a highlight in the evening. This is a family owned park. The owner, Charlie, has made a lot of improvements since he purchased it from the provincial park system and it shows.

@TheCovePEI Very hurt and disappointed with our visit 14 June. A mistake with dates that inconvenienced no one became a battle of slung insults. A civil and professional conversation would have quickly settled the matter. She kicked us out. Stay away from Campbell's Cove PEI

I remembered going here 10 years ago, and I loved it.
However, last summer I stayed a night here. On top of being more expensive than most places, it was unfortunately a really crappy night. We look back at that camping trip, and laugh because of how bad it was.
The campsite was near the cliff, so it had a gorgeous view of the beach, which was literally plastered with bird crap. We tried to go for a walk, but it was hard not to step on poop so we went back to our site. I know that's not really the campgrounds fault, but just don't expect to want to swim there...
There is no trees or privacy, it feels like you are on a joined camping trip with about 10 other family at any given time.
Our site was a giant ant hill/ flying ant hill. And lots of wasps- It was hard to eat, bugs flying in the food constantly.

My husband and I just visited PEI for the first time and were blessed to have spent two days at Campbell's Cove Campground. There is something truly magical about this wonderful place. From the moment we arrived Nathan made us feel welcome and went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating. He even came by (unasked) with dry wood after an unexpected downpour because he assumed ours got drenched (it did) and all this with a big smile.

The spot is secluded and offers a spectacular view of the ocean. We had privacy but we also treated to the heart warming sounds of children having the best time in the background. It's really a family spot and everyone treats each other with respect and a smile.

We loved exploring the amazing beach and woke up at 5:00 am to see the sunrise that took my breath away. It is a memory I will cherish forever.

What a gem - cannot recommend it highly enough and can't wait to go back.

As ALWAYS when visiting PEI, Campbell's Cove is amazing. Whether you are driving the east shore road on a scenic tour, or stopping by to grab some zzz's and enjoy the campground! Please stop by! Jennifer, Charles, Andy and the whole gang are AMAZING!!!!!! This is a campground, be prepared for great outdoors, facilities that are used. This isn't the 10 Star Hilton, so no eating off the floors! Walk your step on the beach rocks and let yourself escape. you won't be disappointed. p.s. tell them Rhonda Lee sent you :)

We found the bathroom full of mold, we found the sinks broken ( very dangerous for kids and adults alike), the stairs going down to the beach a real hazard, the playgrounds were unsafe due to metal being rusted and eaten away... just terrible..

This, one can manage, but the viciousness of the personnel was overwhelming. I was eating lunch and one of the employees came running over while we were eating and picked up a paper bowl that had fallen behind me and crushed it up and said , rubbish is unacceptable... we were all thunderstruck at her behaviour and told her to mind her manners and that it was something we did not see and we will clean up after we eat... to this she yelled at us, pointed fingers and said , you are DONE... Then yelled out to our new tenting neighbour, "You'll be parking right next to those rude campers over there!" then she brought one of the owners and without even hearing our side, she started to yell at us and telling us that we should leave right now, and never return, and that we're never welcome here again ... over a paper bowl? ... the whole experience was a nightmare and was witnessed by our young children.
