We stayed at Inverdoorn on 19th October as a family, with 2 children aged 8 & 11. I had fairly high expectations, as it has very good reviews on trip advisor and that it's at the more expensive end of safaris that are near Cape Town. The accommodation and setting is beautiful. The safari itself was fantastic and our Ranger,...

There is absolutely nothing to complain about at Inverdoorn. Having read the negative reviews, I did wonder whether these people had even visited. Everything was well organised, the food was more than acceptable, the staff friendly and approachable, the accommodation clean and well looked after and the game drives fascinating. As well as all this, the on site facilities ie....

After reading a few reviews I wasn't sure what to expect at Inverdoorn. We stayed in a luxury chalet that was absolutely stunning. We had a private pool that overlooked a sectioned area that held two baby rhinos. It was magical! We had a lovely lunch - the bobotie was great- then we lounged by the pool before heading out...

We had a wonderful stay at Inverdoorn Game Reserve. Firstly our reservation went very smoothly with Carmia giving all necessary information and answering all our questions, so we were well prepared for our trip! At the reserve we were welcomed at our car and offered a refreshing drink. We had a lovely lunch by the beautiful pool and our dinner...

The Inverdoorn Game Lodge is the perfect place to stay if you are exploring the Tanqua Karoo. My husband and I used it as our base to do some birding in this area and were very impressed by the chef at the lodge. One night we had a yin-and-yang-like starter that was a duo of cream of carrot and potato...

If you are looking for a place to get out of Cape Town for a night or two, with a pool, this place is an ok choice, but be warned the food selections are average and miss the mark. The lodge and reserve is really a conservation, rescue and rehab centre, and not a place for a true safari experience....

It was amazing-for a quick trip from Cape Town you really can't ask for more. Lovely rooms, great safari's, incredible staff, great food...Highly recommended. One of the many places in S. Africa that I hope to return to!

Spent 1 night here. We did a sunset safari, sunrise safari, and cheetah interaction. This place was absolutely beautiful! The service was amazing and the food was beyond tasty. We got to see a plethora of animals! Hope to be returning here sometime soon!

Nice game reserve, some 2-2.5 hours driving from Cape Town. Very friendly staff. Rangers for the game drives very knowledgeable and passionate. While wild nature, some form of a controlled environment as the reserve functions as a refugee camp for animals with a tainted past. (E.g. cheetahs that were held as private pets.) Morning game drive in winter pretty cold...

A large game reserve with good possibilities to see the big five. Very nice accommodation and good food. Very helpful staff! The total experience could have been great, but it is not good hosting when the manager screams at and argue with the staff infront of the guests.
