On arrival, the manager was out and there was some confusion which rooms we were given. My room(7) was dark and had an unpleasant smell. The carpet had seen better days and the bathroom tiles were cracked in several places, the safe was free standing and next to the toilet. There was no rubbish basket and despite asking twice for one...

Anton and I, as owners of the lodge, are answering this review personally as we do take all reviews very seriously. In our 10 years of operation we have never had a review like this one. The service that you received was obviously way below our usual standard and for that we apologize profusely. We are relieved and gratified that...

We spent 3 nights in the honeymoon suite at the beautiful Inkungu Lodge. What a fabulous experience! Hans, the manager is so welcoming and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for him. When he heard we were birdwatchers, he even lent us his pocket field guide for our excursion. The location of the lodge is something very special. All the...

Great location, owners very kind and helpful, room was too dark, owners had music system which was loud in room. Weather wasn't great which probably didnt help but we thought food was ok- service sometimes slow. Bit over priced and little old fashioned for our tastes. Gorgeous dog Zoe.

Hi Sue, Thank you for taking the time to fill out the review. I'm sorry that our antiques were not your cup of tea. Not everyone enjoys that style I suppose. The weather can certainly put a dampener on plans but we are over the moon at the breaking of a very long drought so no sympathy there I'm afraid!!!...

We were welcomed by both Anton and Kerry and made to feel so welcome and at home on our first visit!! We had a drink on the beautiful outside patio area with such beautiful views...magic ambience even during most and rain!!! The dining area is classy with such elegant furniture and decor, yet warm and cosy too. The staff were...

Inkungu Lodge in the Champagne Valley, central 'Berg, enjoys a splendid view of the mountains to the north and west. The spacious thatched roof building, typical of the area, is excellently appointed with antique colonial hardwood furniture and selected local African artifacts, woodcarvings, pottery and woven grass baskets. The restaurant serves an impressive range of meals from grilled trout garnished...

We had our wedding celebration at Inkungu Lodge. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The rooms were cozy and the furniture at the lodge has a lot of history associated with it. The view from the rooms and pool area are beautiful and the staff make you feel at home.

Views from patio into the Champagne Valley are breathtaking. One can sit all day and never tire of the mountains. Lodge well appointed although a touch of maintenance wouldnt have gone amiss. Staff pleasant and helpful. Enjoyable lunch and dinner.

I stayed here for four nights. My room had an amazing view of the mountains, a huge bathroom and its own living area. I found the bed comfortable. The dinner service was amazing and I was adequately catered for. I didn't really enjoy the breakfast (I'm vegetarian) but I'm not a breakfast person either do I might be just me....

Hi Simamile, I must apologise for the fireplaces not working on your visit. Thank you for understanding and giving us such a lovely review notwithstanding. The good news is that your next visit will be...
