Sao Francisco is a ranch turned western style hotel with a kind of luxury you won't find anywhere else in The Pantanal. The rooms are clean, large and very nice compared to the low price. The tours are all motorized and are therefore ideal for families with small children. The tours include very little trekking, but due to the Night...

Really worth it to stay and sleep in this farm. The daily and night activities are very nice for elderly people. It is all inclusive food and the atmosfere is completely out of urban routine. We can see a lot of animals and birds.

The Fazenda is a 150 km2 working farm with plantation, cattle and a private reserve. We stayed in the pousada for 3 days with a predefined schedule that included walking, riding, going down river in a canoe and boat, fishing for piranha and night view in search of wildlife. In all we had a fairly occupied time with all the...

I spent three nights here along with a group of wildlife enthusiasts with our own private English speaking guide. He was concerned that we wouldn't see much wildlife since it was the transitional season (early June) and the rains had not yet stopped. But, wow, we were so impressed - 5 ocelots in 45 minutes, several giant anteaters, jabirus, capybaras,...

I highly recommend this place. It has great wildlife viewing programmes. The organisation is excellent and the staff very friendly. The setting is beautiful and you see many gorgeous birds in the area especially hunting birds like falcons, hawks and eagles. If you are a English speaker ask for an english speaking guide so that you have the correct names...

I went to Fazenda San Francisco for 2 days. It is very easy to find its way to the fazenda, despite the lack of address: many signs guide you on the road from Campo Grande. Once there, it is the perfect place to admire wild life: birds, mammals... hundreds of them can be found near the fazenda, and the night...

It was just wonderful, wonderful people, everybody willing to help, to show around and to explain. A perfect organized project for blue macau and jaguar, well explained. The organization of the trips is perfect, interesting and entertaining, full of information and if anything happens it is possible to change activities. Good food, good rooms. You just have to know, that...

Stayed for 3 nights at San Francisco during our recent trip to the Pantanal as we'd heard it was a good place to see Ocelots & Giant Anteaters. We certainly weren't disappointed! The Pousada itself caters mainly for Brazilian tourists with not much English spoken, but luckily there was a biologist there when we were checking in who spoke excellent...
