It is about 50 minutes by car from Miranda over a mostly unpaved road but it is absolutely worth the 'effort'. The trip itself is already very nice but at the end we were welcomed by the owner Alex and the guides. They all are so friendly and do everything to make your stay comfortable. There are several excursions each...

We (my husband and I) had a great stay at Fazenda Baia Grande. The place is really nice with a beautifull garden, tasty home cooked food three times a day and the owner Alex is very welcoming and speaks well English. We stayed for four nights (tree days) and that was a great length to really see the surroundings. We...

We went to Fazenda Baia Grande in our trip to Pantanal in 2009. The driving indications were quite accurate, even without a GPS them. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was always a treat. We were the only guests and enjoyed full attention. There is a nice program, photo safari around the farm in the evening and...

We had a wonderfull stay at Fazenda Baia Grande. Our guide Adriano was excellent, although he only speaks a few wordt English, we had no problem understanding what he was telling us. He knows so much about the wildlife, the birds, the anteaters, capybara, armadillo, ara's. It's amazing. The staff is also wonderfull. They prepare some lovely dishes, real Brazilian...

We had a wonderful time at this great Fazenda. Alex is the best host you can have, friendly, knowledgable and likes a joke. The rooms are nice, breakfast, lunch and dinner are great. The excursions are all very nice, especially piranha fishing and horseback riding we will remember. Go here if you want to enjoy the pantanal!

Beautiful Fazenda in the middle of Brazil, Pantanal. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The guides are knowledgable and there are plenty of activities organized everyday: horseback riding, walking tours, cayman spotting, piranha fishing and wildlife tours. Besides the activities it is the perfect place to relax... Good food, drinks and a swimming pool!

I loved every moment ! Simply fantastic! Away from it all and amid all nature ! Forgot the big city for more than 20 days , and better yet , far from all communications ( hung all to enjoy too ) ! Personally I went to rest and enjoy nature ! While the rest rode, I preferred the good food,...

In general the pantanal is beautiful, this farm/fazenda really grasps the Pantanal experience. The host is friendly and is pro-active in suggesting activities. We went aligator/jacare spotting by night, horseback riding and animal spotting during the day amongst many things. (2 private tours a day, without any charge) It is a magical place where ecotourism is at its best. The...

My husband and I just spent three wonderful days and nights at Baia Grande and had a simply fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by our guide, Marcello, it was like a weight was lifted from our shoulders and we could relax and enjoy this beautiful landscape without worrying about a thing. They fed us three...
