The diving experience was excellent with the dive masters very experienced, accommodating and professional. They guided us around a beautiful reef reserve with the most giant clams I've seen in a long time and the largest school of Jacks ever. Truly amazing! The only damper to the experience was the amount of plastic and rubbish one saw in the area. My BCD pockets were always full after every dive with the plastic and rubbish I collected in the water. The dive masters and locals should collect these as they go too. They should keep their beautiful reef clean!
Place is nice and quiet. staff are very friendly and helpful, always have a smile. Food is very good, and always enough to feed everyone. Kudos to the Chef
The rooms are beautiful and facing the sea, that it will be the first thing you can see when you wake up. It is also pet friendly, they actually have a pet dog there who also is very friendly, i just forgot to get the name.
If you want to get out of the busy city life and have a relaxing quiet place to stay, this is the place to go.
for the budget SCUBA diver like myself who is looking at putting some serious bottom time and skills practice, this is the place to beat!
the house reef is perfect for those working on developing their SCUBA skills from bouyancy and proper weighing to advanced finning and group movement. the ratio of reef and sandy bottom, i believe are just right and there are no strong, sudden currents that might be cause for concern.
the place has good, reliable staff and the free tanks of air are normally clean enough for most purposes. on the down, and this is why i did not give the "excellent" rating, is that they do not have nitrox which is a considerable limitation for me.
still, the food is always good and having it all buffet style is something i really appreciate.
another bummer is if like me and my friends, you do not normally bring your own vehicle and have had to rely on local transpo (jeep and bus) since the last trip from port to town is around 5pm so wave conditions can be a significant factor.
i have had friends who were forced to stay and therefore have to pay up for an additional night due to terrible sea conditions. planning your trips and making careful checks with the weather bureau is a must!
Went for a day tour for snorkeling. Value for money Replied at once to email inquiries and requests Fishes and corals good enough for a quick day tour Staff VERY accommodating and VERY NICE. Lunch with the day tour was well prepared and delicious! (Rice, beef with gravy, breaded fish, buttered stringbeans and baby corn and watermelon for dessert) Refillable coffee
