This hotel, in spite of its relatively well appointed grounds and proximity to the airport, is a ripoff. The accommodation is bare bones, as in no refrigerator (just because they want you to buy their overpriced beer and bottled water - they would not provide water and the liquid from the tap is not drinkable) and barely working airconditioners and...

The property is nice and we were pleased with our room. Our big negative was the hotel charges guests for the bottled water in the rooms. It would have been better to charge a few more Q's (dollars) for the room and "hide" the water charge, but seeing it as a separate charge was insulting. At none of the other...

I stayed here as part of a tour and am grateful we stayed only one night. My room had large ants crawling everywhere, a nightclub was blasting horrid music all night so no sleep was had, the restaurant on site served inedible overpriced food & poured chintzy glasses of bad wine, the shower had no door so water covered the...

Although the hotel offers a great view of the lake and a short distance to the island of Flores this hotel lacks in many areas. First off, BAD costumer service. Even though my Expedia reservation clearly stated that the check in was at 2 pm the clerk at the front desk insisted it was at 3 pm. I showed her...

The hotel is centrally located and has many details that make it nice and comfy. Its restaurant is right in front of the lake with nice breeze at all times. Food is very good and personnel is friendly and helpful.

I did not like the hotel. I paid for a suite and I was specting more of the room, maybe something waterfront, but I really am disappointed overall. I preffer Villa Maya, it is much better and service is better too. This hotel has a nice view, but not a good service.

I only spent 1 night in Flores but the Maya international is a cut above the average transit hotel. Flores seemed quite limiting in what it has to offer and we really used this a base to explore Tikal early the next morning. The hotel itself is very nice with a waterfront setting and breezy pool area. Food and drinks...

Room with views to the Flores lake and with terrace, very charming and colonial. Very clean, maybe the bathroom would need a bit of refurbishment, but nice stay. The staff were kind but not really professional when serving breakfast - no major issue, but just as a comment. Breakfast quite complete, to be chosen a la carte. 15 - 20...

Communal areas, lobby, bar etc. are 'OK' but the room was dated, mucky and the A/C was really really noisy. Must admit the view over the lake from our balcony was pretty nice but don't forget to take plenty of bug spray.

The Maya Internacional Hotel, had an awesome view, the service was amazing and not to say, the food was incredible, one of the best hotels I've stayed in! Even though we were a big group of people the service was really fast and the people were really nice and respectful to us. 10/10
