Himachal Tourism's Hotel Shrikhand is named after the majestic mountain that faces the hotel and 5,536m high Shrikhand peak. The building's architecture has drawn inspiration from the fascinating forms of the famous Bhimakali Temple. The rooms of the Shrikhand hotel over looks the majestic view of the Shrikhand peak and apple orchards.

Detailed Reviews
To start writing review about this hotel, the first thing I would like to mention is the location. This hotel is situated in the best location, around 5 mins away from Bhimakali Temple, and having a beautiful view around from almost in all direction. The cottages are best to stay since these rooms are specious and you can get idea about all the activities in the temple. The early morning/evening Aarti sound in the temple gets flowed to the cottages here. The hotel is decorated very nicely with beautiful plants around. The Restaurant is also having a beautiful view of the valley and food is delicious. The restaurant will give satisfaction to the tongue with the food and also satisfy the eyes with the view. The deluxe rooms with balcony are smaller, and not much clean, but having a big attached bathroom and the balcony is having a great view. Staffs are really nice and helpful. Overall, it was nice stay here in Sarahan.

The hotel is located just beside the famous Sri Bheemakali Temple of Sarahan.
We were provided with a room with mountain view. The room was spacious with clean bed, blanket and washroom. The attached bathroom had geyser for hot water.
The staffs were polite and helpful.
The property has many rooms in main building and a beautiful cottage at its premises.
A well kept garden is there with so many colourful flowers !
The view of Bheemakali Temple and surrounding Himalayas from the hotel ground were so mesmerizing.
The restaurant has a superb mountain view and serves delicious dishes.
Now come to the negative points...
In spite of pre-booking we had to wait for a long time to have our room ready, though we checked in around 2 pm.
The restaurant served delicious food. But service was very slow and the serving quantity (in compare to its price) was small.
But after all it is a well maintained property and probably the best place to stay in Sarahan.

Location-wise maybe the best as expected from HPTDC. The best view is from the restro, where they have big glass windows to enjoy the snow-capped peak view. The entry is on the 2nd floor, so you may have rooms downstairs, and you have to go down the stairs.
Staffs are extremely polite and helpful, they helped us every time. Actually we had a tough stay there, as there was a heavy downpour in the evening, and there was no power all through the night. Food quality was really nice.
The Bhimakali Temple is just few steps away from the property, and almost at the same level.

We were a bunch of 12 enthusiasts who planned a trip around the Kinnaur stretch in May 2022. We reached Shrikhand at night when there was a power cut in the locality . So the manager led us to our respective rooms and we all ended up having candle light dinner . The food was yummy and arrived well n time to satiate our hunger after a day long trip. This is a well maintained HPTDC property . The lawn is well maintained and beautiful where our kids had a gala time. Although the rooms were small the view was amazing. There is a beautiful temple nearby which we can cover easily from this location.

We had reserved the best room in the hotel, the Srikland Suite. We had a balcony with uninterrupted views over the Sutlej valley. The room may have been larger but it was crowded with 7 chairs and a sofa; as befits a Government hotel everything was dated. Our double bed only had single sheets and blankets, and the shower had no water pressure. We ate in the restaurant which was austere and uninviting, but the food was good. The hotel is close to the Shri Bhima Kali Ji Temple.

We stayed here for one night during our trip to Spiti Valley in June 2022. The location of the hotel is just perfect. Very close to the places to visit in Sarahan. View from the hotel is very good.
I would like to thank Sunny and Neetu Joshi in specific. Their hospitality was amazing.

A very good hotel with scenic views from balcony. The staff is cooperative. The service is good. The food was also really great and reasonably priced. It is located walking distance from Bhima Kali temple. It also has a bar of its own and a garden to sit and relax. Highly recommended and probably the best hotel in its vicinity.

Stayed overnight, had lunch, dinner and breakfast during the trip to Spiti Valley and Kinnaur. I didn't particularly like the town of Sarahan and the temple, but the hotel passed the test. It is a public structure, owned by the HPTDC, HP's tourist body. It's a bit old and not modern, but the room was decent, bathroom with hot water, clean, I ate very well, the restaurant has a splendid view. It's just part way to the temple.
Friendly staff. If you really have to go to Sarahan, I recommend it.

All rooms in the top raw have independent balconies facing the valley
Wifi is available but the connection is very very slow. I used Jio during my stay. Though Jio connection speed was also not at par but you can work.
Rooms are better,
No direct view from the cottages
Cleanliness i cannot answer as i did not stay in the cottage
