It was my third visit to Writers Hill, my favourite getaway from Delhi. The serenity of the place, the elegance of the cottages, the birds and food by Ramji... all make it the perfect destination for a soul-soothing vacation.

Very peaceful stay in the cottages, away from crowded places. The Food was far better than what we had in the usual hotels in the sense of taste and hygiene. Highly recommended place to stay during the weekends

We visited the place in last week of March 2023. And our experience was truly amazing. The lush surroundings with beautiful view of river, the food with more of a homemade feel than of a restaurant, the so spacious and cozy cottages, the staff always ready for help, all were beyond our expectations. Above all, so courteous Harinderji, it was like a home away from home. A place to relax and enjoy with friends & family.

Our experience at writers hill was amazing!! Beautiful Calm and quiet property with lush green terrace lawns 🤩🤩 👌👌!! Perfect place to relax. Hospitality is outstanding. We were there for a birthday celebration. It was a surprise for us when they decorated the hall with balloons 🎈 🎈 and birthday hangings !! Thank you so much for making our stay memorable 👍👍☺️☺️

First things first. Consider this place as a homestay more than a hotel. That is because the hotel staff considers you more as visiting friends. The highlight of the place is the location itself. A clear view of the mountains from the entire resort, sounds of the waterfall that is situated less than 1 Km. and a flowing river that is again visible from almost everywhere in the resort. Our room was very spacious with a very big bathroom. The hotel does not have a menu card but any food that you need can be cooked. The family vibes start when they ask on what would the guest like to eat and then cook them to their taste. The staff is very courteous and goes out of the way to help you. The place is middle of the mountain with nothing in the neighborhood therefore plan to bring anything you might need during the stay. Overall one of the best and most amazing experiences I had and would definitely recommend this.

It's the perfect place if someone wants to do nothing - in a good way! If you want to relax, read a great book, sleep well, eat great home-style food cooked to your preferences & forget the world, this is the place. You can go for treks around if you want to but honestly, that's not necessary. Harinder ji is a host who is helpful, makes you comfortable & tries his best to complete all your demands. Ram ji cooks great breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks... Must try the arbi leaf pakodas & tikkis! The other staff are all also very helpful. In fact, the great thing is the staff & owner don't behave like servants & master & it's lovely to see them have mutual respect. And then there are the dogs specially Fanny who is perhaps the most friendly dog without making you uncomfortable. The only drawback is the climb to the cottages which makes it unsuitable for those with health issues or the aged. For everyone else, don't expect an action-packed vacation. Go there if you want to recharge.

Writers Hill, a hidden gem in the hills of Nahan, Himachal. Budding writers who want to do a tête-à-tête with their thoughts in a tranquil & serene environment, Corporate professionals who want a break from their daily monotonous routine and want to unwind, Writers Hill is a place for them. Don’t go there for luxury, go there for comfort & if you want a home away from home! Harinder Ji, is gem of a person, who redefines hospitality. He knows how to take care of his guests, be it your 10 years old Son, 70 years old Dad or even your pet for that matter! I wish him all the best and will plan a visit again soon!!
