Wastage of money spent in staying and food is totally third class, even you complain them they will surely serve you worst then previous one, they have regular habit of serving wrong dish, will serve you steel scrubber parts in your soup, cocroches are roaming on the table, no one care about your reviews and feedback they will continue their own things.
Based on the suggestion from the client, we booked this hotel and highly disappointed though we stayed for 3 nights, we tried to move to another hotel after first night. The entire hotel had peculiar stench in every corner, the bathroom was dirty and a bad odour makes you to finish your bathroom work with a noses closed. The rooms, the restaurants have different stench, which basically gets accumulated in absence of regular cleaning. Overall it is a very unhygienic place, will not recommend anyone to stay here. The air conditioner's temperature control hardly works. There were mosquitoes in the room and the room is not well illuminated, the room size is decent. The worst part of the hotel is the noise level, even noise from the passage opening or closing of other room doors wake you up in the night. Since the hotel is on the highway, through out the night and day you will always hear the noise from the heavy vehicles and the musical horns most of these trucks play on the highway. One cannot expect to get a good night's sleep in this hotel. The internet service was poor, we restored to our mobile hotspots to connect. The food was average. A comfortable transit stay place in Balasore. It’s located on the outskirts of the town and on the NH16. The room was excellent. It was comfortable, neat, and tidy. The staff members were cordial and friendly. Food was good. However, the breakfast menu needs improvement.
Dear Readers, I have had first hand experience with booking procedure of this Hotel Starway at Balasore via their own website and I must say deception is their key motto when it comes to customer treatment. I booked 02 rooms at the hotel dt 04th Mar 2021 for timeframe 14th May to 15th May 2021 (accordingly got confirmation of booking with ID). Thereupon cancellation was requested dt 19th Apr 2021 via email to designated ID wherefore the booking confirmation email stated to raise cancellation request. Thereupon no acknowledgement of cancellation email / phone call was triggered from the Hotel Authority. Dt 23rd Apr 2021 I called the Hotel Authority seeking feedback and quite rudely it was stated that the same shall be processed by next week. 07 days from then being 30th Apr 2021 again they were called and phone was getting picked on multiple calls and when attempted from a separate number it was picked and was informed again with a rude tone that refund update shall be given in 10 minutes. 24 hours then elapsed and they were called again dt 01st May 2021 (12 days + since cancellation request) and to the thorough surprise the same person spoke with an extremely unpleasant tone with rude intent and when asked for not providing any feedback earlier neither through email nor via call, it was disobediently declared that it will take more / indefinite time and phone call was disconnected instantly. Such detrimental disorderly and deteriorative practice is being followed by this hotel being Hotel Starway. I recommend all to be careful before choosing such hotels for their trips to Odisha, which is known for some of the finest hotels that I sustain experience of, this being completely opposite to prior and worst thus far. My wife and I stayed in the hotel for 3 days from 7th to 9th July 2018. We went from Kolkata by car. Our driver did not face any difficulty to reach without asking anyone. This hotel is conveniently located on the National Highway of Golden Quadrilateral connecting Kolkata - Chennai. We were allotted Room No 308 just opposite to the reception. We observed Quiet, Clean and Green Homely Environment all around. The room is excellent with usual facilities like Wi-Fi, Telephone, TV, Round the clock Hot & Cold water, etc. Hotel Starway provides car parking free of cost and accommodation for driver also at minimal cost. The name of the indoor restaurant ‘By The Way’ is unique. Restaurant open from 7:00 A.M. to 10:30 P.M. The hotel provides complimentary breakfast. Any tourist can enjoy Panoramic View from Rooftop. Hotel Starway is a business boutique hotel launched in 2017. The Front Desk personnel always received with smiles. From Kolkata (Airport Area) we reached in about 5 hours taking lunch break in between. There are many tourist spots. For example Imami Jagannath Temple, Panchalingeswar Temple (God hidden under flowing water), Simlipal National Forests, etc. We engaged guide on payment basis to help the driver.…
Stayed just for a night on the way to Kolkatta. Location is good, but on 2nd floor, lift available. Secure car park, very good service, good rooms with all amenities. Food - Good, didn't try any Odisha cuisine, usual Chinese and roti. A security guard on the ground floor to usher in the vehicles would have been better, they sent a couple of guys for that after a phone call from the ground floor. Restaurant washroom basins were not clean in the morning. Limited choice of buffet breakfast. Thicker curtains would have been nice since by morning 5.15a.m bright daylight seeped in.
Good staff , service and modern amenities . BUT they need more to ensure they solve the Mosquitoes problem if they need a satisfied customer. I would have given 5 rating but had to give 3 since I got badly bitten in their restaurants and also in the room . If they are aware of the problem they need to do something about it . Just providing mosquitoes repellent electric bottles will not solve the problem. They should work with the local civic body to complain eradicate mosquitoes breeding sites around the hotel .
