This is a hotel that thrives on its great location. The beach starts from where the hotel ends. But the rooms aren't great. Of the four plug points, only one worked in my room. There was a party on one of the days. Very loud noise deep into the night. You could not hear the sound of the waves which is unfortunate. The food is not that great either. Regular service of bread during breakfast was also not available. Pigeons made the balcony very dirty and stinky as well. But the playing area is very enjoyable for kids.
I rated this resort 5 stars as it has a wide ramp for wheelchairs leading directly to the sea beach. Although they did not have any accessible room, the management has assured they will look into it. Room service, housekeeping & food was great
We took 4 cottages in this resort during our visit to Mandarmani in May. Rooms are good but bathrooms are not well maintained. Sink was leaking and there were stains in the comode. The worst part was the ill maintenance of the restaurant where flies were literally hovering and not adequate seating arrangement. Service of the staff is very good and the lawn is ideally good for kids playing area.
My stay in ADB Kanvas resort in Mandarmani was outstanding. It was marvellous. I stayed with my mother wife and two sons. On all the days I went for swimming in the swimming pool with my family. the water was lovely. The resort was adjacent to the sea. I went for swimming in bay of bengal every day with my mother wife and 2 sons. It was lovely experience. I played carrom and table tennis and indoor games. The food was lovely with bhetki curry rice, mutton curry katla curry and tawa roti. The rooms were very comfortable.

Stayed here for two nights on weekdays in second week of Jan 2021. The resort is very nice specially the garden, lawns and the beach front sit out area. The swimming pool is also nice with two separate ones (shallow and deep) and well maintained. We stayed in a suite room which was sea facing and had a nice balcony. The food quality was also very good. Service was not bad but can be improved. Specially with the pandemic situation bit more measures should be taken. The road condition leading to the resort is a major issue. In fact this part of Mandarmoni the roads are completely neglected.
We stayed with family in a family room, having two double beds for for adults. The room was spacious with good location and view, having a balcony. But the overall maintenance of the room was very poor, specially the cleanliness. I have visited Mandarmoni several times, and probably almost all properties are same... The service is also very slow, with unprofessional attitude, although they will charge you as per star category rate. One most important and surprising thing to mention that first time in COVID pandemic I’ve seen any hotel with almost without any COVID and sanitisation protocols!!! There are no facilities of sanitisation of incoming guests, staffs are not wearing any masks.. on asking they are replying that COVID doesn’t happen here, and you will be cured even if you have that!! Very much new addition to my knowledge of medical science! Food quality is good rather averages.. there is no option of 24x7 reception, room service or kitchen... Basically it’s only a two to three star property with average facilities but with a good location.…
We were 3 friends visiting for 2 nights. Purpose was to catch up on each other’s life and hence wanted an exclusive room. We stayed in 1st floor Room with a terrace overlooking the ocean. It’s an exclusive room with a bathtub fitted bathroom, comes with a basket full of goodies, such as chocolates, biscuits, chips, assorted peanuts and etc. this was on the house. The room also had a dining table in one corner and a rocking two-seater. The attached terrace had a wooden swing with an outdoor table and chairs to seat out in the breezy evenings. Swapan our concierge was just fantastic. He quickly picked up every persons preferences and served with care and utmost respect. The buffet breakfast could have been better but considering how the far flung place is, it was not bad. One of the evenings we had chilli crab. Anyways, we were on our own busy talking to all that we missed for years and enjoyed the stay. Their new cottages on the ground floor were also good but the room having private terrace was the best to be in. The swimming pool and table tennis were great and we had a ball. …
Booked this hotel online as most of the better hotels were not available during the weekend.I have read the mixed reviews and the overall average rating but was left with only limited choices as we were looking for a seaside hotel with pool. I called up the hotel to inquire about the room type and facilities, they informed that all the rooms have sea view however please note the ground floor rooms it almost no sea view with the vehicles parked and the new cottages built. Food is tasty though overpriced, breakfast is complimentary and has variety of choices They have a decent swimming pool with wider lawn which is its USP.If its not raining you can sit and relax for the whole day in the sea facing decks, its really awesome experience.Evenings they will serve snacks as well in this area.Music will be played in the lawn in evenings(common in the nearby hotels) Service is one of the area which needs to be improved, even for small small things multiple follow ups were needed and there was no coordination between the staffs, what I could feel is because of mismanagement.Need to have few people/managers who can co ordinate and respond to customer needs promptly with satisfaction. For eg. water was accumulated in front of our room, nobody could notice it and clean it for hours and after multiple follow ups with multiple people this was done. To summarize this is hotel at fantastic location with sufficient infrastructure however needs to be maintained and service to be managed properly…
I have visited ADB Kanvas with friends few days back. The only positive part is the location. They have a huge sea facing lawn and deck chairs. U can enjoy sea till midnight safely. But we were hugely disappointed on the rooms and service. AC service is not 24hrs. They will switch off AC for 5-6 hrs everyday. The rooms are having damp every where. Colors are bleeding from wall. Floor is completely slippery due to damp, when AC is not working. The rooms are complete mess. They didn't clean the washroom properly when we checked in the room. It had strains all over. The behaviour of reception is not customer friendly as well. Overall the stay is not worth the money they are charging, except the location.
