Spent a weekend holiday in Victoria during the Durga Puja from 4th-6th Oct 2022. The experience was good overall but seems the crowd rush tested the overall hospitality and maintenance to its limit as the speed of service got compromised a bit. Though the food quality was great but they offered only limited options.
Terrible Experience while check in at Victoria Beach Resort Mandarmani..Staffs are not polite at all very very rough and rude behaved .We asked for some discount they said discount is possible in case of without GST Bill.We agreed to that then they started demanding for 50% advance while check in. Without advance they would not allow us to get into the room.No other 3 star hotel ask for advance while check in.We did not stay finally. Pathetic experience. We moved on and stayed just opposite property LLOYDS BEACH RESORT..which was a good decision.Rooms are very clean..Staffs are very much polite and always at your service.Food was superb.Overall Fantastic experience at LLOYDS BEACH RESORT.Moral of the story : Always don't go for over hyped useless properties. There are many hidden gems which would surprise you with their hospitality and other amenities.…
Looking at its premium price one may assume a lot of facilitates at the hotel but will be disappointed once they are there. First and foremost, please know that this hotel doesn't accept credit cards. And there is no ATM within a 30-minute drive of the hotel. So, carry cash or use UPI/mobile wallet. Oh! no wifi in the room too. And please do check-out by 10 AM because many invisible guests will be waiting for their room. The hotel is located by the sea among several other resorts of similar type. There is nothing else in that area. So,it is a nice location but very limited dining option. Even this hotel, theoretically, offers à la carte food but in practice one has to choose from what is in the buffet. The buffet food on offer is nice though it is always served cold, and replenishment is slow. The rooms are nice and big. The sea-facing rooms have a nice view from the balcony. The bathrooms are huge and reasonably clean. No complaints here. The hotel has a nice swimming pool that is primarily used by partially submerged patrons to drink and smoke. Real swimmers can have a jolly good time. Overall nice experience if one could overlook somewhat cheap attitude that doesn't go well with the premium price that this hotel charges.…
Very bad experience, they are to much professional, room service very bad. All room is very old pretend. But room charges to much high. Bath room fittings not working properly. My little son broken a glass, for that they are penalty me 200/+ gst. Food system is just chatting police, only buffy system is available and is to must costly. If you want different type foods, it's not available..
Toilets are not maintained...Restaurant Service is very poor...Among our Group of 18 persons ( 10 adults + 8 childen ) only one adult was non veg but our Vegetarian people were served Panner Pakoda fried in Fish Fried Oil..with no remorse from staff and they were very argumentative..Even after our protest they charged this dish in our final bill..It seems they are satisfied with one time visitors ..hence vegetarian people should remain alert....as per our final statement we recommend to stay somewhere else for money they are charging ..We stayed there from 03/06/22 to 05/06/22..During our stay ..only the day we reached..we had lunch in this hotel..further all dinner and lunch were at Grand Beach Resort ( just four minutes distance ) which was a very good experience.
This property claims that they are pet friendly, which is not true They allow pets to certain rooms (ground floor) of the hotel against charges. When pets are not allowed in all the rooms they have, this definitely means what they claim is wrong!!
Our group of 8, checked in on a Thursday ahfternoon & left after Saturday b/fast. Loved the huge spacious rooms, well maintained toilets, the linen were clean, room service was prompt, food was excellent, lush green lawn, great looking pool, the rooms 208-9, 212,214 had a great sea view from the room itself. Apu @ the Restaurant & Aditya @ the reception were extremely courteous. Only drawback was the data connectivity challenges.
Vipin.. It was a one day stay here in a triple sharing room on 1st floor, with an open terrace.Swimming pool adds luxury to your stay with live mocktails and cocktails, along with hookah.5star is too less to rate the food. Its delicious and fresh.Staff is always at your service whenever required.Aditya and Shomik at reception are very cooperative. The hotel has direct Beach access and it's a well maintained property.I will definitely stay again.
Quick tip - target mid week; weekends are jam packed! I went there for 2 nights and had a very pleasant stay. The rooms very extremely large and very comfortable, as was the bathroom. Interestingly the bathroom had a ceiling fan! The staff were very courteous and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. We had the beach mostly to ourselves. The shack outside made a great crab curry. Key call out - great staff, good location if you are looking to avoid all crowds Not 5 stars because - 1. the room and furniture was a bit run down 2. Food is acceptable (not great) but very expensive and due to the location no other options except the shack outside
Only 1 word perfect Food super awesome Rooms super awesome Location super Staff super Service prompt and very nice Pool super Only 1 thing no wify in rooms I will request plz install wify so we can come again very soon.
