A huge huge property. Everywhere you can see glimpses of unattended beauty (being such a massive property maintenance is an issue and cyclone Yash too had contributed). I loved the resort and sand time felt pity for it. Restaurant is perfect, with the arrangement, options and taste. We stayed in a Royal room. A small tv. There is no balcony, but provision has been made to access the terrace from the window. No intercom, you have to contact through personal mobile. That's bit disappointing. Rest fine. Paddle boat and swimming pool complimentary.
I have stayed with this property a couple years ago and it was a great experience . However, my stay there last week, was very disappointing due to the following reasons: 1. The damages faced by the property due to the storm in 2020 , has not been repaired and much of the property seems to be in ruins. 2. Being highly understaffed , the services are no where near expectations. 3. Only the swimming pool is functional and all other amenities are impaired. They are facing serious challenges even in providing basic services such as laundry. 4. Much of the staff are frustrated due to over-burdening by work and it shows in their behaviour while dealing with customers. 5. WiFi is unavailable, mobile internet connectivity is weak so would add to your pain. 6. The buffet / food menu options are super limited (only 4-5 dishes in the buffet menu) and the taste is not acceptable (you may end up filling yourself at the shacks on the beach). 7. No management in place - I don’t recall having been introduced to the property manager , during my visit. Mine was a family visit of over 20 people and it was a very sad state of affairs at the property. Unfortunately, I do not have any good recollections from my stay. Being an older customer to this property , I was disheartened, especially by the way this property is being run now. I would be glad to update my review if things come back to how they were earlier , but until then I would seriously not recommend this property!!…
Moment we entered the property it seemed like the most devastated place completely in ruins. Had it been closed forever rather than being poorly maintained then the old image would never have been tarnished. Never expected such a grave disappointment. As soon as we checked in, we were asked to have lunch as the same was about to get over. Our worst ever experience started from there. Felt like it wss not a buffet but a begging place....The room which was given to us was a disaster. It was located at the rear end...no maintenace...pics uploaded shall speak for themselves...when complained about the issue...some staff came over as if prepared to fight with us...negative marks for hospitality....revival of this resort is impossible....first outing after corona and it was a complete setback...…
Honestly speaking it’s not at all the older rose valley property which I have seen in 2015. It’s true that Suncity took over it but they can not maintain the glory at all. We were in sea facing Delux room 101,102. The rooms were so dirty, certain were dirty, can’t cover the entire window so it can impact your privacy. AC were not working properly, few light were not working, floor tiles were broken, door lock was not proper and so on. Though the room cost was 3000 but it’s not worth at all. Apart from swimming pool nothing else is maintained. If it’s your revisit to this resort you will be dishearten for sure. Food were absolutely not up to the mark but costly. Staff behavior was good.
The Sun City Resort is popularly known as Rose Valley Resort. The Resort is Reopened and all facilities are open. All staff very good. Atmosphere very good. Good for family group. Just need new renovated rooms and swimming pool and water chute shud be clean every day. Otherwise chef and restaurant staff very good and cooperative.
We booked 6 rooms for the peeriod of 3 days and 2 nights. We also booked pickup and drop by tempo traveller. While i m wrting this i am stucked at their reception area hungry and tired. My story begins two days back... We were alotted sail house... Ruined rooms with damp and termites... After repeated complains... The front office staff gave patient ear and understood our status and changed us to coral house. Coral house is a nice place to stay. Staff is good, service is prompt. Food is good, pool is maintained. Back to today we were suppose to check out at 11:00 am. Our traveller arranged by the hotel didnt turned up.. We were told it late by an hour or 2. Currently at 2:30 pm our vehicle has not arrived. We asked for food as its not our fault... So why shall we bear the charges. But we were denied... We asked for alacart but were refused although we agreed to pay... After an hour of argument they agreed for chargeable alacart. Still we r waiting for them to allocate space for lunch. We are 17 ppl including 6 children all tired and hungry.. Management is really cruel. They dont even know the 'A' of hospitality. …
Visited the resort with family and friends for a short stay. Mixed experience as part of the massive grounds was somewhat ill-maintained. The rooms however were spacious with wonderful sea views. Reception and restaurant staff were quite helpful. Buffet options were acceptable and in general quality and taste of the food was quite good. The paddle boats and the toy train ride made my son very happy but unfortunately the ropeway was not in operation. The outdoor swimming pool was somewhat disappointing as the water had turned green like in a natural pond - it was still useable though. At high tide the roaring sea kissed the resort gates which was quite enjoyable to watch.
We stayed here for a day but we were totally disappointed. The property is very huge but sadly those are not maintained at all. We booked sea facing deluxe room. The room is very untidy and bathroom is quite dirty. There are a lot of flies roaming around. Food quality is good. We opted for buffet the provide good food. Pool is clean. Water park is good. Kids play ground is also very good. Location is very good. Breakfast and snacks are complimentary. They provide Ac but they did not give us remote. There is fan but that too without regulator. In booking site there was mentioned that there will be electronic safe and mini bar. But those were missing. In short they have huge property, a lot of activities, good facilities but those need seriously maintenance and proper care.
If this is the best hotel in Manadarmoni as they claim then i am seriously concerned. to sum it up i would it not worth it and if possible AVOID IT, half the amenities are nonfunctional. water park was non-operational, rope way was not functioning. outside shacks people are good they are more hospitable then this hotel staff.
best resort in the area , lot of ammunities , kids will surely love it as this is the only resort with kids park and activities , lot of activites outside the resort as well , though the pricing is bit high comparatively but still its worthy
