Long but an Honest Review Alert! Request you to read carefully till the end to understand the services you might expect from Sana Beach Resort. We, a group of 10 (Ten) people with friends and family had booked our stay at Sana Hotel Premium Presidential Suite on 31 December Night 2022 with the expectation to celebrate the closing of the year and welcome the new year with good people, a good location, and good music and positive vibes. However, it was only an expectation that turned into a nightmare as the Management at Sana Beach and Resorts had faked all their promise and bluffed all promised commitments that were included in the Booking Package. As we arrived at the Sana Beach and Resorts on 31 Dec 2022 afternoon 12 pm, right at the entry gate, the words of the security guard were mixed with negativity when he commented, “We only allow people with a booking to enter Sana” rather than welcoming with “Do you have a booking”? No Welcome Drinks were offered and even we didn’t care about it as we had the thought in our mind to celebrate the day with joy. Check-in time was 12 PM and we divided our team into two groups and settled with 5 (Five) in each Presidential Suite, S1, and D1. The rooms were decorated nicely with wall hangings and had large carpet areas but missed the basic kinds of stuff that a local hotel room provides such as Cloth Hangers/ Complementary Tea or Coffee/ Hot water Electric Kettle, Refrigerator, etc. Mirror and Cupboard are present only inside the washroom area which is totally inaccessible if anyone uses the washroom. Toiletries and Bathroom Towels were missing during the check-in, and we had to call to room service to get the same, which we received after 1 or 1:30 hours. We received instructions to have our lunch between 1 PM – 3 PM; but when we visited the dining area at 1:30 PM, we saw half-cooked items served at the buffet, with no manpower helping the guests to guide. Even we have found pebbles in rice which means raw rice was not washed properly before the preparation. “Hi Tea” was offered to us during 5:30-6:30 PM, where we had to wait in a long queue to get a cup of Black Tea with No sugar. New Year Party was scheduled from 8 PM – Midnight where we were promised unlimited Drinks and Snacks by SANA Beach Resort Salesperson which when we claimed, was easily turned down stating it was a PAID Service. Each 30ML peg was sold at triple or four times the actual cost. Pack of Cig 20 sold at double price. When we reached out to the management on the same night, however, the staff including the manager on spot was not educated enough to understand the simple English committed by the SANA Sales Person during booking and turned off all commitments that were made by the salesperson. After some time when they understood the issue and problem from their side, they said they can’t provide any resolution and folded their hands just to say sorry and beg pardon. So at this moment our New year’s night plan was totally ruined and wasted as we are left with no hope from Sana Beach and Resorts management. The Next Day Check out was at 11 AM, but we were receiving phone calls from Sana Reception right from 10 AM to do check out as we might cause problems to them during billing. Note - We have all the proofs to support this review.…
Sana lives upto its reputation while considering external appearances, proximity to beach, open spaces and facilities. BUT this experience starts becoming average when one dives deeper. We had taken a hut near to Swimming Pool and its one of the prime property. Didn't realize that music system on Swimming rooms will run round the clock and at full volume and it was a nightmare (or should I call it daymare). There was no discipline in Swimming pool. Earlier Sana was famous for its quality and kind of visitors. Now it appears that to make money, anyone and everyone is accepted. During our trip, we had big gathering of 20+ people from a minority community and they were all jumping in swimming pool in their traditional dresses or normal undergarments with no prior bath or concerns to other users. Worst part was that their ordered snacks was consumed in pool and half of it was falling inside the pool. Only after complaints to reception, this was stopped. Restaurant at most is basic and their expectation is that room orders will be served after 9 PM. We had 70+ year old parents with us and it was difficult for them to wait. Buffet in restaurant is decent but with large crowd coming at same time, serving is an issue. On positive side, property is next to beach and you can have lovely time both in morning and evening. Its probably the greenest facility in Mandarmani and that adds to charm. Most importantly for us, its pet friendly property which helped us to enjoy the time with our little furry kid. …
I have no words to describe how bad my stay was in a ‘Club Class Royal Quad’ room which was suppose to be their best room to offer us. Dirty bedsheets with stains, soiled floor, bad smelly room, untidy curtains, room full of mosquitoes and house fly. The house keeping staff whom i called to clean up the room was trying to talk personal. Either he was some addict or a crackhead. The front office staffs are too lousy and they definitely know that all their guests are one timers. No sensible guest will visit this property ever. The restaurant is shabby untidy and smelly. For dinner i ordered Chicken Ala kiev which surprisingly was present in the menu. The chicken was raw from inside and it was not consumable. This property will fool you with their high tariff and make you believe with their property pictures that they are some Star category resort but beware they are worst in business!!!…
Ok, so this is a review about our recent stay in The Sana Beach Resort. The property is close to 15 years old. We stayed one night here ( we couldn't stay more than that because of the review) While staying at the Royal Premium room , the experience was more than pathetic. The Royal room was more than the worst I can say. The room was full of flies, stain marks on the bed, floor not mopped properly. There was a foul smell everywhere, and the housekeeping had to be done repeatedly. The staff themselves were saying the amount of money these people are charging , anyone can have a far better experience in other resort nearby and the management cares nothing about the property. The food we ordered , the chicken dishes was literally half cooked and option of the breakfast seemed like we were staying at 700 rupees Oyo room. Would advise everyone to stay away from this resort and they charge can be used in any far far better resort here in Mandarmoni.…
Property is massive. Just by the beach... giving a feel of private beach access. Plenty of trees. Places for all kinds of events. Variety of rooms; but that could be a deterrent too since it brings all types of crowd. Parking is not a problem. A lot of parks. Swimming pool is absolutely awesome. They charge 300 for cleaning cars. That is almost half month's salary for car cleaners even in Mumbai. Entry road is decent. A bit far from main Mandarmani beach. No restaurants near this resort but am sure that will change. The area is still getting a lot of concrete. Food is alright. Complimentary breakfast is better than similar hotels. Room service is good. Staffs are willing to help... but every time they have "give me some tips" smile. When we were there, they totally failed to manage the crowd. Probably an office group or something. were at the pool till early morning having drinks and sheesha. I would not be surprised if they threw up or soiled the pool water. No restrictions on swimming dresses. Taking shower before pool was a farce. They dipped in pajama, three quarters, night shorts, salwar, saree. Even the breakfast time was kinda horrid. Luchi or omelets vanishes in milliseconds. Some were even putting the food items back to the counter from plates. Oh yes... they allow pets. We met some great dogs there. Overall... poorly managed great property. …
Its was a very relaxed stay and an enjoyable experience. The swimming pool is neat and clean with shisha served along with drinks of choice. The food is simply amazing and very cost effective. 2 nights is perfect visit and can extend more if you have time to enjoy the resort. The beach is very clean.
We thought of visiting Mandarmani on our visit to Kolkata this time with my family and a friend’s family.. resort Is slightly away from the entrance to Mandarmani.. around 6 kms and the roads are not the best too.. once you reach the location you are welcome with a huge and beautiful property.. parking is not an issue too as there are ample space for parking.. however the front office is not friendly and they guide you to a room at the back of the resort which doesn’t at all justify the exhorbitant price they charge.. rooms are small and dingy.. worst is there are no geysers.. seriously !!! You need to call the guys to get hot water.. We took the lunch from the resort which was a la carte.. food quality and taste was good .. dinner and breakfast was buffet .. However spread was limited and not up to mark.. Property is huge and beautiful but not well maintained at all.. there is a gate which leads to beach .. Will never recommend these property at such a steep price..…
Room was Big but not maintained ( walls , Furniture ) Hot water / Geyser facility NOT available Insect control is very poor ( Full of flies & Mosquitos) Tea/Coffee / Electric Cattle not Available in room TV was not working (Replace next day ) Front office staff very casual TOO far from localities and very BAD road
After two full year of locking ourselves just had a family outing including our pet Mishka . The anticipated vacation became a horrible experience for our pet who had a harrowing time to chase stray dogs and animals like cows , hens , and goats inside the property . Our repeated requests to the attendants fell in deaf ears We had booked package because NO ALA CARTE service was available as told to me by the reservation manager , for the time between 25th to 31st dec , so we were mentally prepared but what shocked was the devastationg menu and the taste of the food , the chinese and indian all tasted alike , men were discouteous at the counters , cold food were served , oN the contrary the kebabs which we purchased from the party place were superb , So what does that mean !!!!!!! overall a very bad experience , this was my third time stay in this property but never it was so Bad…
Firstly, this is possibly the best resort in Mandarmani, even with its few drawbacks. Its a large and very well spread out property, with lots and lots of greenery. And loads of open areas all around. It is perfectly located, right on the beach, with a large frontage overseeing the Bay of Bengal. It possibly has the best swimming pool, perfectly suited to swim or just having a chilled beer in a deck-chair right beside it. They arrange these evening bonfire and barbecue in the lawns, which is wonderful. Instead of sitting inside their individual rooms, guests can just come together in the evening and have a beautiful party/get-together. Loved the ambience. It was good fun. Staff quite friendly - no issue there. So overall lots of pluses. And I would possibly stay there again. Now a few things where they can improve. And also for future visitors to take note of. House-keeping and upholstery was not upto the mark vis a vis the price bracket that this resort falls in. I know 80% of the guests wouldn't notice that. But why not care about the balance 20%. The quality of breakfast was very ordinary. Its not a big problem to have limited number of items. But they should be well cooked and taste good. There's scope for improvement there. There was no geyser in a room/cottage (high category) I was paying almost Rs.8000/- for. Unacceptable. If these are taken care of, this otherwise nice resort would be even better. But yes, I like this place, and would stay in this resort again.…
