This hotel was inaugurated in 1981 and I doubt anything has changed over the last 4 decades. The furnishing, the ambience, the interiors and the overall vibe of the place is not just incredibly outdated by any standards, but also shows signs of years of use and poor maintenance. There are hardly any amenities to talk about and none of the bells and whistles that are a feature of modern hotels. And I am not even talking about the exotic services like a Spa, or Health Center or Swimming Pool etc. I am talking about basic amenities like an Electric Kettle or an Iron or a decent WiFi. I stayed at the so called ‘VIP Suite’ and while the room size was impressive the rest of it was completely unremarkable. The Sofas were dirty, the bed sheet was fading and the blankets were old and clearly not washed or dry cleaned in a long time. The washrooms were basic and even though clean had limited space to keep any toiletries. The food was fine but once again many of the menu items were missing or unavailable for order. Also, the restaurant is only open till 10 pm so good luck if you feel hunger pangs late at night. So, to wrap things up Hotel Jawalaji is in dire need of renovation, upliftment, remodelling or call it what you will. It seems stuck in a time warp and the lack of competition or alternatives should not be an excuse for such a shoddy place. The only positives are the courteous and polite staff and the proximity to the Jawalaji temple, the most important reason why anybody comes to Jawalaji. That apart I would never recommend this hotel. Just to add a new Hotel is coming up almost next door to this and that might be your best option if you’re looking for a decent and comfortable stay.…
Stayed for one night in semi deluxe room. Got a good deal online otherwise its 1500+tax if you pay at the hotel. Pros: Rooms, quilts, bathrooms are spotless clean. Tv is amazing. 32 inch led. with full airtel non hd subscription. I did not even find this subscription in radison. So full points on that. Food is more than ok. Apart from french fries and tea, i liked lot of things. So not many complaints there. Cons: Walls are bit stained. Damped also at few places. Bed sheets were quite old fashioned. But there is no smell. No shampoo provided. Bathing and toilet are are not separated. But keeping price in mind, cons does not matter. Will recommend this for short stay.
great location, right next to the bus stand and very close to the temple. Great daal makhni but having stayed in quite a few hp tourism hotels, this felt a little run down. still best and most cost effective hotel in Jwalamukhi for sure. YOu can't go too wrong with HP tourism
I visited this place with my family in month of May. The staff is polite and service is good. I found the food bit expensive but food was fresh and good quality. So despite being expensive, I had my major meals in hotet's restaurant only. There is ample space for car parking and dormitory for driver. The hotel is very near to temple, market and bus stand.
