Detailed Reviews
Nice little hotel in a place which is one of many but with an exception of being service oriented. Have stayed in quite a few (my reviews can be found else where on this website) around town but Palm Tree springs a surprise.
It could be perhaps because of the property being quite recent. Building looks fresh and smells new too. Place is cleaner than most and rooms are huge. Have stayed here thrice but found the linen on the bed to be too crispy to make my sleep worthwhile. A one of thingy. Sleep quality is alright and their service staff are polite and ready to help.
First stay, didn't know and was charged for breakfast. Second time, skipped the option because I felt I was overcharged the first time. However, the buffet spread is simple with nothing much to see on the table. It was very basic with corn flakes, toast bread and a south Indian as well as a north Indian dish which I never bothered to look at.
This time, requested for fried eggs, sunny side up with buttered toasts and was pleasantly surprised to received them the way they're supposed to be - Perfect!
Free high speed wi-fi is complimentary and is a boon.
Nothing very fancy but all in all a good hotel to stay in.

The town that has the distinction of having the Aligarh Muslim University, one of the premier educational institution of India, the iconic lock industry etc. was lacking a good hotel complex with international amenities.
The town also sees a lot of foreign visitors as it is an exporter hub.
We recently hosted a function in their banquet and also used their room facilities and were pleasantly surprised and pleased at their superb hospitality.
Would specially mention the names of Pr office manager Gurpreet as also the banquet manager Junaid.
Many thanks and all the best.

This property has good service and friendly staff, but the hotel has run down since my last visit in 2013. The extra bed was very uncomfortable and the hotel is overcharging for what it is offering as there are not many options in Aligargh. the hotel needs to give clean basic facilities to be at par.

Delaing with them has been absolute nightmare
- I booked offline and details were completely off than promised
- Denied GST bill
- Asked payment in cash: Right from theday of the convesation that i needed a GST bill as I am not comfortable without the bill to which they agreed but later denied.
- The commitment made was nullified on arrival.
Very unprofessional staff.

Great customer service! Went to the terrace restaurant for dinner but brought my laptop to work while waiting for the food to be served. Unfortunately the WiFi does not reach there. One of the waiters offered me a hot spot from his phone for the duration of the dinner out of his own initiative! It was highly appreciated!
The food was delicious too, by the way.

I had such a bad experience here that I had to create an account on tripadvisor.
I came here on behalf of company but was shocked at lack of cleanliness of room.
The street outside had some function going on which made the room not good for sleep.
No hot water and no parking.
The lift is so small that the workers were almost sticking to me. I preferred to take staircase.
Only saving face for this is that the hotel is relatively new but you can already see things falling apart.
Stay at your own risk.

I stayed at this hotel several times over the past year and can recommend it. It is certainly better than any other option in Aligarh. It is well situated, the staff is courteous, it is kept clean, and the food is creditable.
There are however some shortcomings. There is an inescapable odor in many of the rooms. This odor seems to emanate from the plumbing. The hotel has installed automatic air fresheners in the rooms to combat the smell, but this doesn't quite do the trick. Secondly, the windows are covered in such a way that sunlight never enters the rooms. If you have to spend more than a day in such conditions, it can be depressing.

Plz get in touch with Mr. Mudassir or Mr. Gupta at Palm Tree.
The rates per plate a few months ago was 575, 700 and a bit higher.
There are comfy rooms and two banquets (on open air at top floor) for a party.
