The stay at RiverMist has been probably the best 3-day relaxing stay post the Covid era. It has been a great experience right from the time of booking the rooms till we left the resort. Route from Blr: Has been a pleasing journey from Blr towards the resort via the Hassan route and later detour from Belur towards Mudigere. The "home stretch" of around 4 km from Ranijhari coffee shop to the resort is nothing short of adventurous!! More so when you are driving a sedan. Ambience and amenities: Top notch service provided by the staff and everyone involved. The rooms are spic and span and there is hardly any grouse! Everything was almost perfect. The foosball and other activities are pretty engrossing to adults and kids. The toddler play arena is a good break for toddlers. The infinity pool seemed very clean too!! Food: We stayed for 3 days and that included 2 lunches and 2 dinners. Every meal that the wonderful cooks served were amazing. We had the very delicious Malnad cuisine with other Indian spread. More than the vegetarian spread, I guess the NV spread was big and scrumptious too! Thank you! Nature walk/ walk to the stream/ nightwalk: Special mention to our wonderful naturalist, Mr Ajith. I specifically chose this resort, considering my son's passion about nature. I am so happy I chose this one, since Ajith literally took my son under his wings and kiddo was totally floored with the knowledge that Ajith shared with him and his constant encouragement. We all gained a lot interacting with Ajith. We returned a very happier lot considering we had a great time at RiverMist, be it fun, food, nature, or adventure. Monsoon calling maybe?…

We visited Rivermist resort to usher in our 1st anniversary celebration. I got to know about this place from a friend of mine and after doing a little research, we went ahead and made a reservation for a 4 night stay.. The property is perfectly nestled amidst the wilderness with the chirping of birds, the series of hills surrounding it and the soothing sound of water from the nethravathi river, all of which are the perfect ingredients for a getaway with your loved ones.. There is a private waterfall within the property. The water isn't deep and one can even make their way right beneath the waterfall to experience what literally feels like a spa session. We were totally blown away by the hospitality extended to us by the courteous staff.. During our stay, I had planned a candle light dinner for my wife. Words fail me to describe the lengths to which the staff went just to ensure we had the most magical dining experience under the star lit sky.. I would like to extend a special thank you to Ajith who made us feel very comfortable and who looked into our every need with a smile. It was a pleasure to be a part of the nature walk - my wife and myself got to learn alot from Ajith who is a naturalist and loves exploring the wild. I would also like to thank the General manager Anush who spent time explaining to us the heritage of the place and gave us good suggestions of places to visit. Him imparting his knowledge about the history of the region made our visit to the surrounding tourist hotspots all the more meaningful. Big thank you to Mithun for ensuring we were satisfied with the food and serving us ever so graciously. Last but not least, a big thank you to Krishna who drove us around and patiently explained about the history of the region and Guru who ensured that we had a very comfortable stay. The room was clean and spacious. The location was amidst coffee plantation and forest surrounded by hills. The team was very supportive and helped us with all our queries. We enjoyed the Jeep ride to Rani jhari viewpoint and a small falls nearby. The resort is located very near to a water stream and due to landscape a mini waterfall is accessible. It's a great location for people to enjoy the nature. Food spread was good. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. Note to travellers: Drinking water is available and good at the resort, but if you prefer mineral water or packaged water - carry you own. The availablity of packaged drinking water nearby may not be easy to find.

This is such beautiful resort... secluded and surrounded by mountains and unexplored forests and river....this has plenty to offer...be it a romantic getaway...or to just getaway from your city life and experience nature at its best.. The resort itself is beautiful...very well maintained...3 luxury cottages ..3 premium cottage ..3 deluxe rooms and a family room...the cottages are overlooking the plantation...you could stare at the view all day long and never be bored...very well maintained property...great staff..always there to make your trip worthwhile...food is great as well ..it has indoor activities and games to spend your time in the Evening.. The best part is the activities that they conduct everyday..Ajith who is the in-house naturalist guides you through the plantations...jungle and river walks...because of him we got to meet different species endemic to western ghats...the guided hike through the jungle... walking through the river and streams makes you come so close to the nature...that would not have been possible without him being there...he helped us explored the place the way it should be and made us fall in love with the place...and not treat it just another weekend getaway...it's definitely worth going back!!!…

We had booked an jumbo family room and they exceeded our expectations. It was the best resort with very good hospitality They took at-most care from a day before our stay by sending the google maps, eateries on the way and number to reach them in case of any help needed in locating the resort We had a pleasant stay there Each and every person over there serves u with a smile on the face. I am so glad with our choice of RiverMist for our maiden trip to Chikmagalur. What stood out for me from even before starting for the resort, was their attention to detail. They reached out through call and whatsapp with maps, useful links and informing us well in advance about last mile network access, availability of escort vehicle etc. This reflected in their hospitality as well. Most friendly and eager to please staff which is typically an under-rated aspect. The most luxurious of places can become a wet blanket if the service is deficient. At RiverMist, from the kitchen staff, to front desk, all were very eager to make the stay comfortable and prompt to address any need. It is only apt that such a team is blessed with the most picturesque of settings for a resort. We visited in April which saw on and off rainfall. So the stream that we crossed at the approach had bit more than ankle deep water. The property has dense forests, plantation and a lovely little waterfall. Ajith the in-house Naturalist drew our attention to absolutely unseen bugs and critters which made our nature walk memorable. The resort provides protective leech socks too. For added cost the resort offers sight seeing trips to nearby places. Rani Jhari view point is worth it. The staff proactively does mention whatever is on offer but reading the reviews, I gathered that we missed the star gazing through telescope. Didn't realize that was on offer. The 1st luxury cottage as you enter (301 , I think) would be the best view with both windows opening to mountain view. Deluxe rooms are comfortable, but have no views. Bathrooms are super-sized and luxurious. Food : suffice to say we overate. It was delicious and the variety was a pleasant surprise. We ate mostly non veg fare. Every meal had both chicken and fish (or mutton) with dry and gravy varieties. Local delicacies were included. This would surely be one of the strong reasons why we would return to this place!!! River Mist = wonderful place and friendly staff. Wanted to have a relaxed stay with family and friends and there could be no other better place than this. The private waterfall, the infinity pool, the lunch area with Athangudi tiles, the fantastic rooms with jacuzzi, camp fire.. all make it a perfect getaway from the hustle bustle of Bangalore. Special mention to Ajith, the Spider Man of Mudigere. He is a wonderful person and a nature lover. Adults and kids loved the night walk with him, where we learnt about nocturnal spiders and frogs. We caught the glimpse of a sleeping bird with it's head tucked in, tree toads and the Malabar gliding frog to mention a few. One of the most wonderful things is that they turn of lights around 7:30pm for a few minutes and we get to see 100s of fireflies blinking in the dark. It was really magical. We also got to see the moon up close with a telescope setup for our viewing pleasure. The folks at the restaurant also were extremely friendly and catered to all our requests. Both the kids and adults felt pampered and the mix of cuisines with some local dishes was just perfect. It was really a wonderful experience and would highly recommend people to visit this resort…

The place is really beautiful inside the valley region and amidst of coffee plantation. We really enjoyed the stay. We had a wonderful time in Netravati river which runs through the resort. The staff members were courteous and ready to help anytime . Food was really tasty . The Manager and staff ( Ajit, Salman and Arfaz to name a few) were very very friendly and helpful . I highly recommend this place for family and friends .
