Detailed Reviews
Recently we had been to Chinnahadlu resort, Sakleshpur to spend two nights for a much awaited break in this stressful pandemic time. The resort had an amazing view of the sorrounding mountain and exceeded our expectations in terms of rooms, food and services!
Once you reach there, you will be impressed by the simple yet elegantly decorated reception, a refreshing welcome drink and contactless check-in process. The view of the horizon pool and the lawn was just mind blowing. We stayed in room no 7, which had a glass wall and large balcony to enjoy the spectacular view of the mountain. The room was tastefully decorated with all the modern amenities.
The food was fresh and suitable for our
palate. Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet had a wide range of choice, and you are always welcome to order ala carte as per your taste. The chef and the staffs were courteous enough to prepare some special dishes for my four year old kid. Do not miss the chance to enjoy the home made wine with a wide range of flavour. We had coffee and strawberry flavoured wine and were absolutely in love with the both.
There were many options for indoor and outdoor activities and games, which kept
my kiddo engaged, and gave us a chance to enjoy pure leisure.
The property also consists of few swiss tents, which could be a good option for
the adventure lovers.
The staffs of the Chinnahadlu resort were very well-behaved, trained and courteous. Room service was almost immediate! The
additional surprise was to be a part of their Diwali puja, haldi kumkum and fireworks since we visited on the festive weekend.
My only suggestion to the management is to provide some creamer/milk sachets with the room refreshment. They can also think of extending the property with some luxurious suites.
Finally, I must mention about the watch tower at the top-most floor of the resort. That is a glass room from where you get the 360 degree view of the property and its surroundings!
If you are looking for some fantastic weekend destination close to Bengaluru, my suggestion is, try Chinnahadlu Resort once. I bet you won't be disappointed!

One of the best resorts in the Sakaleshpura/Mudigere, it has 13 cozy, spacious, well-maintained rooms with mountain and open space views. You feel like it's your property and they provide excellent service; few highlights I must call out, you are treated with personal care, welcoming you with a personal welcome board, your choice of unlimited food, plenty of evening family/group space gathering and arrangements. This property is situated on top of the hill spanning 13 acres of a coffee estate. You will get a 360-degree breathtaking view, a well-maintained infinity swimming pool, and a lot of games for everyone. Don't forget to try their own brewed coffee ( trust me, you will have more than one cup). It is an excellent choice for a family or corporate and can book exclusive property for private occasions. I want to thank the entire team of Chinnahadlu special call to Anup & Asha for hosting us and ensuring the team event/stay was memorable.

Really loved the Resort. Rooms are large and spacious, Sitout balcony was also large and has fantastic views. Rooms were neat and clean, Sanitized and well maintained, Bathrooms are also large and airy.
The infinity Swimming pool is operational even though it was COVID times. Enough facilities for playing like Pool table, TT & Carrom, Badminton etc. Cycles are also available for use.
Attached to a coffee plantation, so you can walk through the estate and there are enough birds if you are keen bird watcher. Short trips for trekking is available and also to a nearby waterfall.
Food is a buffet system and breakfast gets repetitive over a few days. Quality of food is good, but the variety can be better. lacked visual appeal and taste suggested like the same base masala was used. When teh crowd is higher, the refresh from the kitchen can be made faster. But these are minor aspects as overall the food was good with a mix of Local cusine and North Indian dishes.
Cellular network is patchy at best, so if you are navigating using any Map based apps, psl download offline and have enough battery.
View from the top of the viewing gallery is also spectacular.
Minor Points : TV is fixed in an angle that you cannot watch it from the bed. Some of the Furniture needs maintenance upkeep.

The Chinnahadlu Resort is one of the best resorts/stays in Sakleshpura.
Everything about the resort is excellent, the location in particular is the show stopper.
The rooms are modern and huge. The best part is the glass wall and the view from it. I completely fell in love with the way the room is designed. Waking up to the view of Jenkal and Deepadakallu is an eye candy. Birds chirping all the time made the stay more surreal.
The staff is very friendly, polite and always has a smile on their face. Adish, Kiran and Anup were very accommodating.
The food is delicious, order anything!Â
During our 2 night stay we had cream of Palak Soup, Coriander Kaju Rice, Jeera Rice, Paneer Tikka, Gobi Manchurian, Phulka, Aloo Peas Gravy, Paneer Butter Masala, Veg Club Sandwich and a couple of lemon sodas. Each and every dish tasted extremely good.
The breakfast consisted of South Indian one day, Vada, Dosa, Chutney, Sagu, fresh fruit, fresh fruit juice, Kara Bath, Lemon Rice and coffee/tea.
North indian the other day, Fresh fruit, Fresh fruit juice, Aloo Paratha, Puliogre, Puri and Chole Masala and coffee/tea.
A+ for breakfast served hot and is mouth watering.
The whole resort is maintained neat and clean. The pool is built at the edge, overlooking forest and mountains.
A few friendly dogs bring a smile as soon as you arrive from your long journey. Â
The resort is on a hill and hence you have a panoramic view wherever you look.
I would request the management to have a sliding door or a shower curtain in the bathroom, it's a mess right after a shower.

Recently visited Sakleshpur from Bangalore and spent 3 nights at The Chinnahadulu Resort. The roads are in good condition and from Hassan, you need to take the Belur route to get to The Chinnahadlu. Avoid the Sakleshpur route as it's in bad shape and you will get stuck in traffic there. But once you deviate from the highway, the route till the resort is made up of good tarmac and beautiful landscapes.Â
Safety precautions - Check in process was contactless and we got to observe all safety preparations the resort was taking. At entry, our temperature check was done and hand sanitizers were made available to us. All our baggage was sprayed with disinfectants and taken to the room. Throughout the property, hand sanitizers were placed so that guests and staff can constantly disinfect their hands.Â
Rooms - All the rooms are huge with a king-size bed, table and chairs and a cosy sit-out overlooking the beautiful Western Ghats. We got room number 8 on the first floor and love the décor inside, with massive glass panes giving us a panoramic view of the serene scenes outside. The beds are super comfy and we had a good night’s sleep for all 3 days that we spent there. The sit-out is a private space and great for having morning/evening cup of coffee, bird watching and seeing the gorgeous sunrise. If you are a little adventurous and love spending time in natural environments, then you must book their newly built swiss tents located right next to the main hotel. The tents are luxurious with a large bed, a table and chair and attached bathroom. They come with their own cemented sit-out overlooking lush green paddy fields and it’s such an amazing experience to wake up to the sounds of so many birds!Â
Buffet - Food is definitely a strong point for Chinnahadulu and every single meal we had there was thoroughly relished. All meals are served in a buffet spread which is quite elaborate and has a good variety. Breakfast consisted of eggs, bread, dosas, poha, paranthas, puris, rice preparations, fruits, juices, tea and coffee. The lunch and dinner spreads were a good mix of local, south Indian and north Indian preparations. Chicken and fish featured in all the main course dishes along with other dishes like Paneer, veggies, parotas, rice and deserts. Our favourite dishes were the Chilli chicken and Fish Fry along with the Vegetable Korma. Simply delicious. The food isn’t very rich or spicy and suitable for all taste palates.Â
Wine - Chinnahadulu has a rather interesting collection of locally made wine and something we definitely wanted to try. Apart from the grape wine, they also serve coffee, banana, star fruit, and ginger wine. We decided to try the Coffee infused wine and it turned out to be really good! This is a must-try for everyone who like wine as the variety we found here is quite hard to come by.Â
Activities -Â For activities, there is cycling, swimming, indoor games, hiking, trekking, plantation walks, etc. And as a new addition, they have just launched 3 Swiss tents right next to the main property. This is a must-have experience for those looking to stay in the outdoors.Â
Staff - The staff of a property add a lot to the experience and at Chinnahadulu we got the opportunity to talk to almost all of them on a regular basis over the 3 nights we spent there. They all are well trained, capable and eager to deliver the best possible experience. And they seem quite knowledgeable too as we grilled them about the wine and the wildlife present around the region. And they were able to answer all our questions.
Overall, we had a very relaxing vacation there, something we deserved after spending months in lockdown. The serenity of the resort, its quaint location and the service is something we really miss now. Especially the yummy buffet! For 4 days, we had nothing to worry about, all our needs were taken care of and all we had to do was to enjoy our time there and relax. If any of you plan to visit Sakleshpur then you must check out Chinnahadulu!

The resort is on top of the hill with a wonderful view across 360'. We went there as a team of 4 boys (men 👦 😀). The rooms are really spacious, luxurious and yet makes you feel homely. One side of the room is covered completely with glass and gives you the complete visibility of the nature outside. The rooms (I think the whole resort) is constructed with a theme of no-neighbours concept. About the food, I must say, I haven't had better fish ever! It was so yummy and fresh. The entire team including the top management is very helpful and they treat you a like a king. Every small request is treated with utmost care. Thanks to everyone, every staff member and the management for making our stay comfortable and memorable. Next time, decided to visit with family.

Two star is only for the location...the resort was tastefully done but now lacks upkeep...plug points in room do not work...bed looks clean but smelly and pillows are dirty...staff are polite but there is no personal touch...it's neither a hotel nor a homestay...while coming back noone even said bye...my seven year old was helping me to load the luggage in car while the receptionist and staff looked on...the food was very average...lacks taste and variety...
