What a disappointment. On arrival we asked if there was anywhere to park car and were tersely advised that we would need to park in the street. The street is actually a tiny lane with virtually just enough room for one car to get through. I had to park practically on the corner of the lane and the busy A350....

Thank you for your review. There are some inaccuracies though. When you arrived you were parked on the road (which is not narrow and two cars and or bigger vehicles can easily pass without issue) and the first thing you said before you came in was 'I'm going to report you on Tripadvisor'. I did advise that no vehicles have...

We had a wonderful stay at the Fontmell Magna B&B. We were staying in the area for one night for a wedding. The owners of the B&B were brilliantly helpful; allowing us to check in earlier than their advertised time and helping us arrange taxis. The room itself was lovely - spacious and nicely decorated. Fresh milk was a nice...

We had to book a B&B near a wedding venue. My husband came across the Fontmell Magna B&B and he said it looked Ok and the rate was good. So he booked. It is a really good looking old house with a shop and cafe attached all belonging to the B& B owners who next day showed me around with...

With a bit more attention to detail Fontmell Magma B & B could easily be rated as at least very good. The frustration is that the owners missed off a few key points-and it is the small stuff that often makes the biggest difference. So here are the top tips for the owners: 1) Have a better choice of drinks...

Good place for a short stay in a pleasant part of Dorset. Few rooms but comfortable. Modern fitted bathrooms. A little unusual to order breakfast in advance but portions large and filling. A great pub round the corner (also recommended).

Superb ambiance with friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Bar offered lovely selection of beers but the menu offered mouth watering taste bud ogasism delights. The bed was so so comfortable with lovely crispy cotton bedding, plump pillows, lovely fluffy towels and soaps. The tea/ coffee tray also reflected the quality with a cafetière and freshly ground coffee. Everything was...

We stayed for one night, received a warm welcome, had a spacious room and enjoyed a nice breakfast, toast was rock hard though. Overall I would recommend a stay at this B and B, the owners are very good hosts and if we are down that neck of the woods again, we would certainly return there
