Had the worst holiday ever the wasps where bad enough but to have all the remains of food and rubbish just 50 feet away from our front door the.stench was awful food wasnt all.great drinks where ok.if u like watered down stuff and bar shut at 11 unless u wqs paying oh and 2 euro for a slush that should b in with your all.inc only good thing was the bar staff and entertainers where great with what little they had
Had a week here from 24th September - 1st October, the hotel is 10-15 minutes and the first stop if you have transfers included in your holiday package, which was great with two young children. Check in was easy and quick, there is a 3 Euro per day tax charge so 21euro for each room, no problem there as we knew beforehand anyway. We stayed in block 17, which was right by the wave pool and close to everything and far enough away from the entertainment in the night which was perfect as I imagine it would be quite loud.
The wave pool is amazing, so much so that none of us went into the other pool, it’s fab, no rush for sun beds or rubber rings etc but I’d imagine in peak season it would be a different story.
Food was nice, and plenty of choice but not so much for my 2.5 and 5.5 year old .. think there could be a lot of improvements for choices for children, and fresh fruit etc would have been lovely as well for breakfast. It does get samey but there is lots on offer and the deserts are stunning!
The drinks are lovely, particularly the cocktails which is all I drank really alcohol wise, I’ve read that the soft drinks weren’t up to much but in my opinion they were really nice and there’s juices on offer all day as well.
The water park is so good, there’s a section for 4-12 year olds which my 5 year old loved the first day, but then he wanted to go on the bigger slides for 8years+ which was no problem apart from one day he wasn’t allowed on one of the slides he’d been allowed on previously so I think it depends on the lifeguard on at the time. There’s 2 small slide areas for smaller children but the water is ice cold so my youngest didn’t use it but it looked like so much fun, there’s also a softplay type area and a park inside the water park so that kept both children entertained aswell.
The kids disco is fab and both my children enjoyed participating in them, and the entertainment is good as well.
We didn’t do any of the games in the days but walking past it looked like a laugh and everyone seemed to really enjoy.
There is a huge wasp problem, I went prepared with peppermint oil, and that seemed to help quite a bit, but they aren’t aggressive (I’m petrified of wasps so I still screamed like a baby haha) by the end of my week I wasn’t so jumpy around them.
Also all but 2 of my family got bitten by mosquitos, I didn’t personally and I usually do so not sure if I was just lucky or there just wasn’t many that time of year.
Would also highly recommend the beach and town trips, really lovely days out and everyone really enjoyed!
Overall we all had a brilliant week, everyone was so friendly, not sure I’d return BUT other than poor food choices for children and a slightly basic room (didn’t bother me at all though) I don’t have anything bad to say about this hotel and my experience
The hotel was basic but clean, and the food was really good some nights and average the others. The Aquapark was fantastic for us a family of 5 with kids ranging from 6 to 16. The entertainment on a evening was hit and miss although the entertainment team was very friendly and good fun. The games round pool area on a day are a good laugh with the team. They is a wasp problem but they are less agresive than English ones so bat them away like flies, we went for 10 days and non of us got stung.
Booked as a late deal so my expectations were realistic. Room basic but clean and had everything you needed, bed linen changed regulary and towels changed every day (apart from sundays) rooms had TV, Fridge, safety deposit box (15 euro charge) kettle and hairdryer in bathroom. Aircon noisy and smelly when you turned it on could do with a clean The wave pool was my favourite I floated around on the rubber ring most of the day (plus you didn't get bothered by the wasps on the water) yes they had a wasp problem but after speaking to others at the airport so did the rest of the Island. If you plan to go in September make sure you take allergy tablets and some Anthisan cream and you will be okay. The hotel food bar serve snacks and drinks all day - toasties that you made yourself - hotdogs - chips - savoury snacks and between 11 - 4 I think freshly made crepes (the lady who stands making these all day deserves a medal) Ice cream really nice. Food was okay but did become a bit samey after a week you could always find something even if you're a fussy eater - I follow a Gluten Free diet and luckily had taken some of my own bread and cerals with me otherwise I might have struggled at breakfast. Would have been nice to have seen some fresh melon at breakfast but the greek yoghurt and honey are delicious. You can book the wave restaurant by the wave pool at reception for lunch and dinner as many times as you like - okay for a change not as busy but still help yourself buffet style, they did kebabs ect again okay. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus into corfu town and to the beach - great service and a the bus driver was lovely I would recommend you visit Corfu town with it's tiny streets full of shops. If you like waterslides then you will enjoy the waterpark next door the gate is open each day until 5pm and you can come and go as you please. Lazy river ride okay but a little too lazy as everyone seemed to get stuck part way around. A short walk out of the hotel is mini mart selling branded drinks and soft drinks - we bought some branded mixers that helped to make the all inclusive drinks taste better (cheaper than the onsite supermarket)- they have a choice of cocktails on the all inc menu these too are okay. No need to rush out for sunbeds (Sept) as always lots available plus you could always go into the waterpark - I would not want to be here in peak session I could imagine it gets very busy. Weather was amazing - Overall we had an okay time here.
stayed here for a week with family and i must say i am 50 50 on this resort the staffs are lovely and food is average but the location is really horrible because there is nothing whatsoever around the resort and as a family we like to go for a walk but this we knew already but we dint expect it will be this bad. yes there was loads of wasp but this could not be prevented.the aqua park was great fun and also the wave pool.the animation/entertainment team do a very good job in day and also night but i think the hotel has to do more for night entertainment because other resorts we have been in there is always external acts 2-3 times a week and this will help the night entertainment alot but thumbs up to the entertainment team for doing their best during shows and also evening program. the cleaners also do great job thumbs up to them too. overall i dont think we will return because of poor location and the hotel needs to spend more because i heard people pay alot to come here
Not much in the local area I’m afraid but bus into Corfu town is quite frequent.
Food was decent and drinks all inclusive but a little limited for choice.
Pools are superb and you won’t get bored of the aqua park
