We recently were at the Butterleigh Inn to celebrate my father's 80th birthday, together with nearly 50 friends from both the local village and surrounding area. Jo, the landlady, was so helpful and accommodating. Her and the staff, including husband Matt who prepared a wonderful carvery for all of us, really helped the day go well. Nice to see in...

Once again, a lovely meal! Delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. The steak was excellently cooked and cod huge! Starters and desserts offered were a good range to suit all. Thank you Jo and staff.

Stayed at Butterleigh Inn for a few nights while on a porcelain restoration course. Great hospitality from landlady and locals alike - even the dogs were friendly! Room clean and comfortable, and food excellent. I felt like I'd had two weeks there, not a few nights!

I can't thank Matt and Jo enough for going the extra mile on 2 occasions for friends and family. Last year on the occasion of my late father's memorial service in the village church, they put on the most wonderful buffet for the 70 guests attending the service, their exemplary service turned a sad day into a true celebration of...

We stopped off at the Butterleigh Inn to get a early lunch and break our long journey. Large car park at rear and a genuine warm welcome. Good menu with a decent choice of home prepared meals. Very dog friendly (including their own three pooches!). Friendly locals. Could get busy if there is a wedding at the nearby church.

It is time to write a review. We moved into the village 7 months ago (very close to the inn) and stayed overnight before one of our initial property viewings. The room was clean, warm and pleasant. Breakfast was excellent. Jo and Matt are superb hosts, anything you need just ask. We eat regularly at the inn and the food...

Popped out for an evening meal, nothing special but very acceptable, quite a small eating area but quite cosy .nice gardens if you want to sit outside and plenty of parking a welcoming village inn, certainly worth a look, dogs were in the bar but not sure if that meant you could take your own but they were very friendly

Having played fives at Blundell's School on Saturday morning, our touring team, arrived at The Butterleigh for a very filling lunch and some essential rehydration therapy. All praised the lunch, with special mention for the filled baguettes, and the variety of reasonably priced beers. We stayed overnight at the pub. so were also able to enjoy watching the Six Nations...

Arrived at the Butterleigh Inn after walking a 10.5 mile section of our Land's End to John o'Groats charity walk fully intending to camp for the night and the owners Simon and Amanda said we could camp around the back of the pub. However, after a hail storm which covered everything with a layer of ice, Simon said that we...

Thank you for your review, it would have taken a heart of stone to see you put up, and then sleep in a tent with hail pouring from the sky, and we were pleased to be able to make a contribution to your mammoth fundraising walk. I would mention that Simon & Amanda are our regular customers, and also donated...
