Stayed two nights and wasn't impressed. Relatively expensive for what you get and quite close to the train tracks. Our double bed had a dip in the middle so I ended up sleeping on the single bed. When my wife checked out at 8am, the manager was very rude and obviously not a morning person.

The potential of this motel is enormous, given that it's in an ideal place for travellers both to and from Wellington. From experience, however, allow at least 1-1/4 hours to the CBD if driving on a weekday morning. Sadly, though, the units themselves are not up to the standards one would expect from such a prime location. We understand the...

This was booked by my company, so I had no choice....well, I did move out after two nights. The units are concrete block with troweled stucco interior walls. My unit, on the upper level approached via some stairs which felt a bit wonky. On the landing, by the next door unit, the signs of a big vomit, probably several weeks...

Run down, rotting bathroom, dirty & mouldy, terrible layout with bed right next to door, no kitchen essentials crappy tv and no Sky. Trains out back that blare there horn every time they go past and heavy traffic out the front. These have to be the worst motel rooms I've ever stayed in, they are literally that run down and...

Thank you for your comments. All motels undergo continual maintenance and upgrade the units when able. We may be dated, your opinion, but we take exception to your comments about cleanliness as we feel this is simply not so. This is a motel, NOT A RETREAT, so our location and proximity to amenities is essential, as it is to any...

We stayed in a 2 Bedroom unit, 2 couples, it was very comfortable, George was very helpful with this as after trying to book on line a unit for 4 and ending up with 2 units priced accordingly he sorted us into a 2 bedroom saving us $, thank you George. The unit was very quiet clean wonderful shower and...

A "self-catering" unit - musty, dusty, dated and a bit neglected. There was a TV, hanging on a wire from a hook on the wall, next to the window (free-to-air channels only). An uncomfortable two-seater sofa with a loose cover that kept coming off. Nowhere to hang clothes. A motley (and minimal) fairly grubby-looking assortment of crockery, utensils, etc. We...

Reminiscent of tacky American motels I had the misfortune of experiencing in the 70's. Very tired, dated and in much need of a refresh. Stained duvet covers are never enticing. On the plus side the rooms was generally clean and tidy and the shower was strong and hot. It's just a pity the rotting wood around the base of shower...

We were to stop for 3 nights. The room we were allocated was musty, dated, had lots of flies and felt damp. Some of the crockery was chipped and the milk came in a small jug, not a sealed carton or 300ml bottle. We opted to move on and asked for a refund which we were given. We were able...

I will have been here 4 months when its time to go back to Canada. If your looking for fancy high end, don't come here you won't appreciate this place. This is a family, pet friendly location that is cozy, clean and peaceful, even when the train goes by. The hosts George and Hoya along with Sally are so nice...

Motel manager was very friendly. Rooms are very dated and smelt musky. We found some of the dishes in the cupboard were dirty. No Internet (wifi) or main Sky channels available such as sports and movies and heated pool was cold. We felt the website was a bit misleading too.
