A long way from London to Devon maybe but if you want to hideaway this is the place. Through the front gate and further into the time warp past the largest rhododendrons you'll ever see and then looms into view what looks like a chateau from a film set. A grand old house. The welcoming staff are there to assist...

The hotel is a wonderful building in an idyllic setting in the Tamar Valley and, having chosen one of the special rooms, we were very pleased on arrival. The receptionist was the highlight of the staff being both professional and friendly. But we quickly started to encounter issues - mixed messages about serving ourselves or being served at afternoon tea,...

Beautiful old building with lots of history and full of character within quiet and picturesque setting. For those that just like to relax and get away. In all a pleasant stay for those that like nature and quiet surroundings off the beaten track with fabulous, friendly and attentive staff. Confused with the description of luxury hotel as would be better...

While visiting Devon, my husband found this beautiful hideaway. We travelled through the Dartmoor national park and found our way to this beautiful spot! The gardens were beautiful and with prosecco on a sunny day in the gardens with tea to follow inside.... What more could a lady ask for! The cakes were laid out along a round table in...

On the border of Devon and Cornwall on the edge of Dartmoor forrest is the most charming and wonderful hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and all decorated with an eye for interesting detail. The grounds are enormous and contain a most beautiful garden, and the river Tamar runs through. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the restaurant serves fine...

This hotel is exquisite. The building itself is rich in its style and beautifully maintained. The interior has been gracefully curated with modern touches while preserving its heritage. We enjoyed the strolling in the garden and would like to return to enjoy more of it. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the meals were delicious. Hotel Endsleigh...

This wonderful house is very special and the grounds are amazing but we were bitterly disappointed by the food served in the restaurant . The waiting staff are mostly European and they found it difficult to understand our requests and several times they brought us things we did not order. The dinner menu rarely changes and the food is average...
