A two-night stay at this lovely place was almost perfect for us and our dog. The gardens and views around the hotel are beautiful and the only sound which greeted us each morning was the swallows' chattering outside our window. We would recommend asking for a room overlooking the garden, if staying in the main hotel accommodation. Our room was...

Garden was beautiful, external views of the house interesting, lunch was very nice. However, one waitress was positively frosty and another unsmiling. The waiters were more friendly. Our table was in the middle of a very busy throughway. I understand it was a busy day but we paid normal price for lunch so I was disappointed in the ambiance

A "dog friendly hotel" which really is a cut above the rest.. This was a 4 day break on our way home to the Midlands from the Easter holiday in Cornwall, accompanied by our 12yr old son and 1 very large dog..! We always worry about "dog friendly", we needn't have, what a welcome - Rufus (the dog) received a...

We stayed during the early part of February for a milestone birthday of my husbands. I am usually quite quick at writing reviews but found myself a little stuck with this as our stay was a bit of a mixed bag. The hotel itself is beautiful. Our stay was over quite a chilly weekend so lots of roaring fires and...

The magic of Endseigh was quite breathtaking during a recent return visit , coupled with the excellent service and personal touches by Adam and the team. I envied one guest who was off fishing that day ! This is a country house hotel whether shooting, fishing, walking, with children, enjoying a tour of the garden or having afternoon tea, it...

As the title suggests, the food was wonderful, the service very good indeed, the suite was great, they catered for our large dog wonderfully, as dogs are not allowed in the main dining room we ate our evening meals in a private room, very cosy, a great experience. By the way, the grounds and gardens are amazing.

The hotel has plenty of old world charm, the staff are very helpful and genuine care is taken over dietary requirements. The grounds are simply stunning and the head gardener very informative. As it turned unseasonably cold during our visit fires we're lit which whilst really welcome were smokey.

What a lovely way to spend a soggy afternoon. Great selection of sandwiches and a huge variety of cakes to sample. Not forgetting the scones with so much cream and jam. Jonathon and the other staff made sure our tea pots were constantly replenished without being intrusive, whilst at the same time being very friendly. Well done and thank you...

Travelled here from Plymouth for lunch, the drive is under an hour via Tavistock and approached via a long country lane and their Garden Nursery. Had private dining, a small room with its own fireplace overlooking the beautifully maintained grounds. The room is ideal if you want to bring a dog in with you. We had a very leisurely lunch,...

We visited for afternoon tea. Really enjoyed the sumptuous grounds and surroundings. Tea was served in the library with very nice finger sandwiches and a delightful looking selection of cake and cream tea. Most of the cakes were very tasty and some rather tasteless. The staff were somewhat inattentive as we had to ask for plates, cutlery and more tea...
