We stayed one night at Swallows Eaves on a short break away to celebrate our anniversary. Everything from the warm welcome when we arrived to the lovely comfortable and pretty room made our stay a very pleasant one. Its the little things that make the difference sometimes and I liked the addition of a magnified mirror in the bathroom and...

We stayed for 3 nights. Swallows Eaves is comfortable with a modern décor. The rooms are of reasonable size and are spotlessly clean. The ensuite bathrooms have good quality fittings, good thick soft towels , and excellent showers. There is a pleasant lounge and bar together with Reed's restaurant. The food served is truly excellent, being produced by a Michelin...

I nearly dismissed this hotel as it is listed as 2* which I don't do but my husband persuaded me. We booked last minute (one day before) for one night and had immediate confirmation and options for booking in the restaurant. There is plenty of parking (always a bonus) and we were greeted by Dorothy and shown to room 5....

Stayed one night at Swallows Eaves. Were greeted warmly by Malcolm and shown to a spacious front twin bedroom (slight road noise). Very comfy beds with high quality bedding. Apparently there is a an excellent restaurant but sadly was not open on the night we were there. We were the only residents that night and dined well at The Wheelwright...

A hotel night where all goes smoothly, the welcome personal but effusive, the room bright, functional and comfortable. And the real bonus of excellent dining right on the premises. This isn't a big hotel, but it gets a genuinely attractive restaurant menu with sophistication, startlingly good flavours and no gimmicks.

We were very fortunate to have the downstairs room, not being able to manage stairs. The room was very comfortable and clean and the en-suite had a walk in shower, which again was very convenient for us. Dorothy the owner cooked a first class breakfast, to your own choice. The staff were all very friendly, and the waitress in Reeds restaurant...

We stayed here in August - our first grown up short break without children and were highly delighted. The staff are very friendly, Dorothy the owner goes out of her way to help and offer advice and besides all that cooks an excellent breakfast to order . Our room was spotless as was the en-suite and the bed was really...
